Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is well structured. I choosed MCA because it has a good job market. All thhe faculties of this institute are quite experienced. They all have completed their PHDs. The faculty:student ratio is 1:30. The teaching method of all th faculties are good and beginner friendly. Examination are conducted strictly in Silicon Institute. All the exam dates are fixed at the starting of the semester. Examination are not too tough but we have to be attentive in class in order to pass in the exam.
Internships Opportunities
Many startups visit the college for internships. Companies like Mindfire, Spikewell provide internships to students with a average stipend of Rs.12000. Most of the students prefer Web Development and App development projects because of the wide oppotunities.
Placement Experience
Placement is average in Silicon Institute. Genarally placement starts in the last semester of course. Many MNCs like Infosys, Wipro and TCS visit the college. The highest package was 7.5lpa which was provided by Capgemini. The average package is 3.6lpa. Nearly 80% students got placed. I am currently on job.
Fees and Financial Aid
Anual course fee is 135000. There was no hike in fees in 2yrs of course. Many government scolarships are available. We have to ask the respected department regarding all the scholarships. College doesn't provide any financial assistance.
Campus Life
Life at the campus was good but slight boring. Annual tech fest and Rythmnova are two big fests that are conducted in November and January respectively. There is big library and a spacious reading room. Library has many books available related to course. Classrooms are spcaious and well maintained. Basketball is the major sport played in Silicon. There are many clubs available in the campus. Robotics club is the most famous among them.
Admission
Admission was done through OJEE examination. After the result of OJEE examination, we had to register for OJEE counselling. Selection was completely based on OJEE rank. The cutoff of 2021 was 600. The minimum eligibility is 45% in graduation and a valid OJEE rank card.
