I liked the fact that u get a degree from the government
The college fees is quite cheaper than other colleges
This college is near my house. Thus transportation is affordable.

Dislikes

I didnt like the college building as it is small.
I didnt like the canteen as it is old and dirty.
I didnt like students who come from a certain category

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because I wanted to pursue computer science as it always intrigued me. The student-faculty ratio is 1:60 The faculty are all qualified. Most have Phd or Mtech. The term exams are difficult but if u study well u can pass with flying colors.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 100000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The cost is not too much. Scholarships are available for people who need assistance. Specially who studied in west Bengal boards. They get scholarships. The cost hike is there too. Take almost 1 lakh / year.

Campus Life

There are a lot of tech and cultural fest's that happen in this college. Various hackthons and dance, singing and other cultural fests. Books are available in the library and u can access then during college hours.

Admission

The entrance process is quite simple. First u need to give the jee and wbjee exams. Based on the scores u can choose college and if u get in you will get admitted. The eligibility criterion is to pass class 12. You can find the application form online or visit there Main (admissions) office.

Placement Experience:

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

I appeared for an entrance exam and I got a seat for CSE (data science) course at Techno International New Town. But I filled upgradation form and went for round 2. And I got a seat for Information Technology course at B. P. Poddar Institute of Management and Technology. So I took admission in this college rather than taking risks of going to round 3. At our college students can get admission by giving entrance exams like JEE Mains and WBJEE. Cutoffs for different courses vary every year. I got in techno international new town college in first round of counciling there i choose to upgrade because I thought I can get better in 2nd round so in 2nd round I get this bppimt college so I choose it because it was in upper of my college preference that I made from the online research and asking my friend and family members who studied in there .
