Dislikes

- More focused on studies than overall development of the student.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course as it is the best course offered in this college. It also has the highest average package amongall these and IT industry is the most booming industry. The class size is approximately 70. The faculty here is also extremly proffessional, they are highly qualified and teach very efficiently. Powerpoint presentations are given by the faculty for each module which can be refered in for the exams, these ppt are also really helpful to pass the exams. You can pass and maintain a decent gpa (approx 7+) if you study efficiently using these ppts right before your exams.
Internships Opportunities
The students get internships in 3rd year of the college. Reddy's, bosch, delloite, Morgan Stanley, Qualcomm, Ashok Leyland, Honda, Ford, Global Analytics,TCS, Cognizant, Accenture, Wipro, Infosys offer innternships with stipend, I am not quite well aware of the roles under which they are offered. You must have a very decent resume and cv to get a internship with stipend.
Placement Experience
The students are eligible for campus placements in the 7th semester. A total of 634 dream offers and 1033 super dream offers were made in 2023 placement season. The top recruiters were Adobe, Microsoft, Texas, Airbnb, etc. The highest package offered is 75.0LPA while the average package is around 8.19LPA as of 2023. Almost 92% student gets placed in the college. My plan as of now is to get a decent package from the campus placement and get a few years of experience and maybe opt for higher studies.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are different categories in here for each course you take. These categories start from 1 to 5, one being with the least amount of fees and 5 being the maximum, you get the category according to your rank in VITEEE. So, you have the option to chose your course according to your payable fee capacity. The first category is extremely rare in the CSE branch. There are no scolarships or financial assistance offered in here, there is just one scolarship if you are Below poverty line. You do get internships and jobs offered in the campus. The average package of CSE core is around 8.5LPA.
Campus Life
There is no sign of "Collge life" here that you might have thought of, not even close. The name of the annual fest is "Vibrance" which is conducted in March and the name of the tech fest is "TechnoVIT" which is held in November. Although the library is fully equiped with latest books and journals. The classrooms are not ac but have a projector in them which are used by the faculty to present slides. The labs have decent setups still. There are two grounds, one basketball court, one tennis court in the campus, these two grounds are used both as cricket and football ground (sometimes as hockey too), there are also 3 voleyball court and one indoor badminton court which is basically the auditorium converted into court. There are 2 badminton courts and Table tennis table and carrom and chess availabe in each hostel. There are lot clubs and social groups here. Also an VIT Student app to help you see the timetable and grades.
Admission
The admission is done using an entrance exam named Vellore Institute of Technology Entrance Exam (VITEEE). The eligibility criteria is minimum 75% in 12th board exam. The application form and fees are available on the official VITEEE website. Their is no reservation benefits in the college entrance exam and admission. It would be better if the results and exam cut off will be more transparent.
