Likes

Despite being an other state student we never faced language barrier.
The faculty is too friendly and seniors are too friendly and helpful.
The college location is quite good and there is much place to visit near the college

Dislikes

There is nothing much to be dislikes about the college

Course Curriculum Overview

I chooses for the b.tech program in the college under cse branch. The faculty members of the college are quite good and friendly various of them are from reputed institutions. There is 5:80 faculty student ratio in the college.

Placement is good if you have skills and you have good academics and if you are eligible for campus placement then you are very beneficial and TPO officer is very friendly and they thaught us very good things that how to grab placement

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure for b tech is 370300 for 4 years and if you belongs to west Bengal you get many scholarship like Swami Vivekananda scholarship program and if you are a west Bengal residential then you are not able to get any scholarship.

Campus Life

Campus life is just okay not so good the college has a cricket ground and a basketball court where we play games.The college have clubs like EDC , CYBERCELL,ROBOTICS ,NSS,CODEVISION and they organise ecent time to time.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel is good but the food quality is okay. Our hostel has a badminton court and it has wifi facilities but only 3rd and 4th year can avail this.Boys hostel only have two seater room which common bathroom and each room has seperate wardrobe

Hostel Fee: INR 60000 per year

Admission

The admission process for the college is very easy u just have to passed class 12 th examination with pcm or pcmb and must produce a valid wbjee rank card or jee mains rank card. U can find application form from the wbjee website.

Placement Experience:

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

BCET Durgapur.Good campus but bad faculty and placement opportunities.

I say this earlier. First of all my JEE rank was little bit low, so I can't get any govt college. And at that time the CSE fees in almost every private college is arround 4 lakhs. But they asked high donation. Which was not affordable by my family. So I choose this college. Also I hear all private colleges are same.we have to do everything by ourselves.
