The atmosphere and opportunities available other than academics
Infrastructure- the faculty and related structures, lawns, gardens etc.
Library- the library is very nice with every kind of books and online access

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course due to my interest in physics. There are enough teaching staff to handle students of all 6 semester. Most of the teachers are having phd Or acquiring phd only some of the teachers are with masters. DU exams are held in December for odd semesters and in may for even semesters. It's easy to pass and score unless you have proper knowledge about the topic

Class Size: 90Course Fees: INR 20000 per year

Placement Experience

Students become eligible for campus placements in 5 semester. Most of the companies include google, ola etc, the average package is for 12-16 lpa. Students with 8 and aboove cgpa gets placments which include considerable number of hardworking students.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college is having financial support cell and DU offers various scholarships. Fee structure depends on the course and the highest is 20K (bsc) . The fees as compared to other private Institutions is very much affordable

Campus Life

Campus is very nice with good infrastructure, lawns and gardens. The college have various societies, NCC and NSS. The societies can be cultural societies, dance, songs, art and crafts etc. People are very much interactive.

Admission

The admission to a DU college or my college is through CUET exam. A student who has appeared for board exam and awaiting results or a 12 passed can appear. For physics hons, one should have physics, chemistry, maths, english and General ability in their CUET exam. The exam related notifications and links can be found on NTA (national testing agency) website. People belonging to SC, ST, OBC, parents in Defense and Central Government services and those who lost their parents in defence services have reservation. Often college is a confusing place so there must be help desks..

Interview Experience

There are no such interviews. Only and entrance exam and one can easily crack it and get college as there are ninety one colleges offering 108 courses. The colleges are all over delhi. The hierarchy of colleges depend on scores of test

Placement Experience:

placements cells were little challenging . there were really less near to zero placement were there .so thats a problem you have to go for higher studies to get a good job and financial stability mostly students do this only.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum consists of relatable topics and interesting ones as well this is what quite influenced me to take this course. We have labs which help us learn how to prepare various organic compounds which are used in many day to day products . The course also has a 4th year research program. There should be more equipments in lab for the research. The frequency is good for exams being conducted and there level is also quite good

Maitreyi college's BSc life sciences is a three year course and admits almost 130 students . The average package is INR3.40 LAKHS but is very difficult for the students to get placed under this course

Shivaji College Experience

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for the placements provided by the college in their 3rd year, while they can pursue internship offered by the college in previous years. Average sized companies visited the campus with lots of students being placed for jobs. The highest package I am not aware of but lowest was of around 300000 pa. I plan to pursue masters after my graduation degree.

Life in Kirori Mal College.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester. I don't know a lot about campus placements but I know that there is a training and placement cell in our college that provides good packages to many students. Some students got more than 7lpa last year. I will be doing my Post graduation after college and will make a career in academics.

Well you need to very lucky to have been a part of Sri Venkateswara college.Only think we missed back then was auditorium and hostels which am sure are there now.A very positive and caring vibe you got.Reddy Sir our principal in last few months invited me to share tirupati prasad he got that was the level and depth of community interaction and love.

Best college of DU for Mathematics

Remarks:

Canteen of the college is not much good. But it is good for a student. We can make our career in different field from this college. It has provided us playing material so student cam play there favourite game

Life in college so far

I applied to the entire delhi university and got this college in my first preference and overall I was satisfied with the same because of the nirf ranking of the college. Also, I heard a lot about the faculty from some of my cousins who have been an alumni of this college that the faculty is way too good. The admission process revolves around first clearing the cuet(ug) exam and then applying to the delhi university, then there will be 2-3 rounds of Delhi university and you'll be alloted a college as per your preferences and score and cut offs...Read More
