Infrastructure is mesmerising ,well maintained
The canteens are well sanitised and provide good variety of food
Friendly environment is maintained in college.

The staff can be bit annoying at times and also somewhat rude
The mess food is not the best thing in the hostel

I chose Bcom because it diverse career opportunities.Bcom offers a wide range of career options, including finance and accounting, marketing business analytics, The qualification method is very good in the college as it helps in covering every subject .The semester exam is not that tough .You can pass easily if you studied

The fees structure is depend upon the course you are pursuing in the college. Every course has different fee structure.College also provides scholarships to the candidates who score good marks in subject or have high merit

Campus Life

The college campus is very good and has a very friendly environment. Every student is helpful or creative in every activity on campus. The annual fest takes place once a year. Sports take place at every level of games

Hostel Facilities

The hostel facilities is not that much good. The rooms are not well furnished. The hostel food doesn't taste good .Even the washrooms are not cleaned regularly.The whole registration process is done online

Admission

Candidates who have studied commerce in 11th and 12th class are eligible to pursue bcom and there should be minimum 50+ percentage in every subject .There is no entrance exam. Candidates have to fill the form from the official website of panjab university Application form,application fees and application dates are to be checked time to time on the dhechd site . The admission was processed both online and ofline

Learning and Growth at PGGC-11

Placement Experience:

The students can sit for placements in their final year of course. The tricity based companies come for campus placements for jobs that need strong communication skills and basic knowledge of their domain. The maximum package that was offered goes up to 5 LPA, and the average packages are lower than this arounf 3 LPA. I wanted to go for Post Graduation so did not opt for campus placement.

The course curriculum is relevant and fairly comprehensive. Well defined syllabus with core subjects included. Balanced focus on theory and academic learning. Suitable for students aiming for higher studies. The curriculum prepares students well for post graduate studies and entrance exam.exposure to practical and industry oriented applications is limited. AREAS OF IMPROVEMENT- Inclusion of skill based and industry relevant modules. Greater use of interactive teaching methods. More guest lectures and workshops. Exams are conducted semester wise with internal assessments. Moderate difficulty. Questions are syllabus based and predictable

First SEM Experience

Placement Experience:

Around 80-90% of the students get placed in my course. The average package is 3LPA - 5LPA. This college has a decent placement record. The highest package offered is 7.6LPA. Companies like Google , Deloitte , Amazon , Infosys , Wipro , etc. come to the campus to pick excellent students for their company. The college also has a dedicated placement cell which helps the students to prepare for placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is not hard ofcourse but it's pretty old fashioned and non modernistic . No technology inculcation in the curriculum. Difficulty level is not much . There should be modernisation of the curriculum. More technology inclusion . More tech based learning . More practical education.

THE LIFE AT DAV COLLEGE

Placement Experience:

We do have a training and placement cell which is run mostly run by both students and teachers. Students with good percentile can sit for placements and can get place into companies which are mostly from BPO and sales background. Students are eligible for campus placements in their 5th semester. Companies which have came in our college in 2024-2025 are Sri ram insurance , Kotak insurance , Planet spark , De shaw , Zomato etc. Highest package offered is around 5 LPA and average package is around 1.5 LPA. I have planned to go for higher studies after my graduation, most probably I will be doing MBA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Application for this college is easy process. You just need to fill a form from dhe.chd.gov.in for which you have to pay very nominal fee ( i paid 70rs in 2023). Teaching methods are okay.likr there's so such thing that college is in Chandigarh so better teachers or something.

MCM MY DREAM COLLEGE

The reputation and ranking of MCM is really nice in north india and specially in tricity! PGGC SECTOR 11 & 42 these are also good but they have a very large crowd of students women like kangana raunaut and yami are also a student of this college giving it a extra bollywood vibe! Mehar Chand Mahajan College: A Hub for Growth and Opportunity

I chose Mehar Chand Mahajan College for its strong academic reputation and supportive faculty. Compared to other colleges, it excels in personalized attention and offers a vibrant campus life. While other colleges had good programs, they lacked the same level of community engagement. I was accepted here after a straightforward admission process, which included an application review and an interview, making it a seamless experience. I was also accepted into Christ University Bangalore but chose this college because of its good reputation in my city. MCM DAV College releases its college forms during July end.
