I chose this course because it has so much exposure that will help me to get job easily and it has also great scope in the upcoming future. The faculty to student ratio is 1:40and boy to girl ratio is 4:1.the faculty here inherit up to the mark qualification and PhD holder in their respective field

Internships Opportunities

The college here provides internship with several companies like tcs Wipro Capgemini etc with a stipend of 12000. The project done by the students include Quadcopter and breast cancer analyzer which gained college recognition.

Placement Experience

The students here are eligible for campus placements from 6th semester. The companies visited here are TCS, Wipro, Capgemini,tech Mahindra,Amazon and many more... The highest package goes upto 12 lakhs and and average package is 4 lakhs. 70 percent of the students get placed during placement.

The total fees four year is three lakh seventy thousand three hundred The opportunity of scholarship is good but if you only belong to west bengal. There are many fests conducted over the year and the celebration of festivals and tech fests such as hackathons, codevita etc. There are variety of books available in the central library of the college as per requirement. Sports clubs like cricket football volleyball basketball kho-kho are several clubs available for the students to participate in.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel facility provides a decent environment. The rooms are provided with bedding, studying table,chair and an almirah. The food provided is quite decent as per fees. You get three meals a day with snacks included.

The admission process includes councelling through exams like wbjee,jee mains.you can find application form on the official website of wbjee and jeemains.the cut off for getting admission here for wbjee is 40000and for jeemains is 80percentile

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

BCET Durgapur.Good campus but bad faculty and placement opportunities.

I say this earlier. First of all my JEE rank was little bit low, so I can't get any govt college. And at that time the CSE fees in almost every private college is arround 4 lakhs. But they asked high donation. Which was not affordable by my family. So I choose this college. Also I hear all private colleges are same.we have to do everything by ourselves.
