Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is awesome. Cs branch is trending and crazy. You have lot of opportunities and the placement is literally good for cs students in bcet. The faculties are too friendly and helpful.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fess without hostel is 3,70,000 rupees. You can apply swami Vivekananda scholarship, student credit card or any type of scholarships are available here. Specially the accounts departments are too friendly they really help if any student hive late fees

Campus Life

Saphire is the annual fest. Bands, djs, college programs are really awesome. Great security specially for girls. Peaceful environment. Bcet annual fest is just crazy. There is also a central library where you can find any type of book even foreign author. You don't have to buy any book. Everything is available in the library. Annual sports also happen every year. Kho kho, busket ball, volley ball, cricket, football tournament. Basket ball court are also present.. edc, codevision, nss, cyber cell, robonix are some pf the clubs active in the campus

Admission

The admission process is very simple. You have to give Wbjee or jee mains. Maths physics Chemistry paper is compulsory. After giving exam you will get a rank. And then you will go for counseling and choose the college. If the rank matches the college cut off then you can take admission. You should have more than 60 percent in 12 boards and you should have maths physics chemistry compulsory in 12 boards

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

BCET Durgapur.Good campus but bad faculty and placement opportunities.

I say this earlier. First of all my JEE rank was little bit low, so I can't get any govt college. And at that time the CSE fees in almost every private college is arround 4 lakhs. But they asked high donation. Which was not affordable by my family. So I choose this college. Also I hear all private colleges are same.we have to do everything by ourselves.
