Prateek's review

I chose this course because that's what I was getting for my rank. I opted for CSE(core) but I didn't pass the cut-off. I am excited for my branch tho, it's a new branch introduced last year in my college. I am not awayof the student: faculty ratio but what I can tell is that most of the 1st year year faculty are warm and welcoming to us students. They teach from basics and help us when needed. I don't like the mid term exam pattern. Unlike most colleges which take 2 mid terms, our college takes 3 and marks are factored in for all 3 exams, so we have exams every 2-3 weeks and it becomes hectic

I am not really aware on this topic as of now. I wl talk to my seniors and passouts and ask them where to get opportunities for internships. We have to do internship from 3rd semester so I have 6 months to prepare for it.

I think from 6th sem onwards one can sit in placements. Many companies come in our campus to provide in-campus placement. Zekken was one such company from Japan that came last year. I think they provided 20+ lakh per annum to a student. I don't plan on sitting in campus placement tho. Engineering is a backup for me. I want to become a digital artist and that's what I will be focusing on in these 4 years.

Since it's a private college, fees will naturally be high. It's still lower than colleges such as VIT but it's still a considerable amount. I haven't tried for a scholarship yet but I will definitely do it when I get a chance. There are no jobs provided in campus as far as I know.

We haven't had our annual fest yet but I have heard it was pretty good last year so I am excited. Our rest is conducted between March and April. We were told mob flashes will be a common sight but only has happened in the last 5 months. One thing that I disliked the most is we didn't have any fresher party. Every other college had their freshers just not ours. We don't have a dedicated football or cricket ground. Just 1 common ground and only 1 sports can be played at a time. And we only have 1 basketball court.

Our room is just as mediocre as a college hostel room can get. There's nothing special about it. One thing I dislike is that our warden doesn't allow us to stick posters or lights on the wall. So the room stays empty and doesn't seem like ... A place which we can call home. The food is better than most college campus. Sunday meals are special and something we look forward to. The major problem is our warden who is very strict.

I wrote comedk and got 8743 rank. I got csbs ( computer science and business systems) in the 3rd round on counselling. Last year I got 10,456 rank and I was getting DSCE but I didn't take it and I regret it now. The admission process in the college was rather smooth. Everything that was required was provided beforehand and all we had to do was make a pdf with all the required documents.
