Course Curriculum Overview
I solely chose Information Technology in B.Tech as the rapidly growing world is without a doubt technology oriented. So, pursuing this course gave me a better oportunity to bridge the gap between my enthusiam towards the subject and the way to channel it into real life. The faculty:student ratio is about 1:40 which from my perspective is ideal, because having too many students would result in shortage of time to provide attention to each student. The faculty members are all qualified enough and each one of them are PhD holders. Since this college is under MAKAUT, so the term end examination dates are announced solely my MAKAUT and the college has no influence upon it.
Fees and Financial Aid
For me, the total fees of the course is 5,50,000, which on calculation comes to around 70,000 per semester which is considered to be normal for all the facilities and quality of education that the college is providing us with. Besides that, after I got on campus, the college suggested me to avail Swami Vivekananda Scholarship (SVMCM) which can be easily availed by the students. The faculty members are quite helpful in assisting the students to get proper scholarships. For West Bengal students, there is also Student Credit Card (SCC) facility available from the government of West Bengal.
Campus Life
The college holds several camps and fests throughout the year to keep the stuents engaged in various co-curricular activities. The college fest Yagvik is held once every year. Besides to that, there are several hackathons, excursions, blood donations camps, seminars organized by the college at different times of the year. There are several clubs such as photography, drama, poetry, trekking, sports,etc which are run by the students of the college.
Admission
For a proper and unhindered process to take place, the student need to attend the WBJEE and JEE examinations. The college provides admissions to students pertaining to B.Tech based on these examinations. For the other streams such as BBA, BCA, etc the students should directly contact the college officials via the contact information provided on the official website of the college, or if need arises, students may even visit the college admission cell for further detailed information.
