Timing which college follows is like treating a school kid always have to treat college students a adult

1• I have choosen this course coz I'm very much interested in social welbeing and everythongs that society links 2.in sociology department each class has maximum of 60 to 70 sudents 3.the best faculty we have in dgvc who have complete their Doctorate and well experienced staff. And their teaching methods are good

Sociology department does not have internship but we have projects to be submitted in final year to complete our degree My topic was underemployment amount youngsters, we 4 members group done a survey with people who does not work in job with their studies

1.First year the fees were 35,000 by the sand of course complete fees were 40,000 2.Many student from reservatiom caste gets scholarship and financial assistance according to their mark 3.campus interview will be done in common for all over college students who get selected will proceed with next level of interview

We have a wide campus and play ground to conduct feast and all Normally culturals will be held in February and sports day too In campus we have basketball court and volleyball court and everyday training will be going in campus Their is lots of club, ex:lions Club, rotaract club

For persuing BA sociology there is no entrance exam or group discussion in Dgvc. Who ever wants to study this course should have to complete 12th.and it's fully online process Course - BA. Sociology Duration- 3 years Application will be released on college website before the date of 12th results

Life at PSGCAS

Placement Experience:

The placements were okay in our college, it starts from the second year onwards in respect to diff degree. For economics it starts from 5th semester onwards. There were many companies who visited including goldman sachs, deloitte, zoho, tcs, accenture etc. and the package starts from 1,20,000 to 12,00,000 rupees per annum.

Madras School of Economics - A Comprehensive Review for Bachelor's

Course Curriculum Overview:

Has a lot of new age courses like MS Excel, Python and Data Science. It prepares you fairly well for roles like Data Analyst, Financial Modelling, etc. Areas for improvement include optimising the curriculum load as per the students. Two internals (one after a month after sem starts, second a few weeks before the end sem) and the end sem. I feel the end sem is relatively easier due to the preparation we endure for the internals.

Political science syllabus in our college is pretty upgraded. The way it's structured is also pretty good. For a student of Political Science, they first gives us an introduction of the discipline theoretically explaining the subject before moving to it's real life examples. Out syllabus covers almost everything that is required for a Political Science graduate. Faculties make it even more effective using assignments and their lectures. I choose DG vaishanvcollege for its strong academic reputation, affordable fees structure and excellent placement support especially in HR and marketing . So i applied LIBA ( Loyola institute of business management and SRM ) other than DG vaishnav college . I got acceptance from DGVC and SRM and i got regected from LIBA . I chose DGVC as it has affordable fees of 4 lakhs in total , also they are giving duel specialisations, also its affilated to university of madras , placement support and location advantage. I got rejection from liba as the cut off was not clear as my percentile was below 80 as the cut of was 85 plus. The admission process was quiet simple for DGVC as the - 1. Eligibility to apply was min 60 % in Bachelor degree 2. TANCET exam was preffed we have to submit the application through online portal of DGVC. Submit the TANCET score , it will shortlist accoding to the cut off , then we have a personal interview and final selection and documentation process...Read More
