Likes
- If we have class from 10 am we can wake up easily at 9:50 still be on time.
- Ragging doesn't happen, seniors are very helpful regarding personal or academic problems.
Dislikes
- Teachers doesn't teach good and are not student friendly (except some teachers)
- Location of our college is very bad , sometimes it is very difficult to get cab also.
Course Curriculum Overview
Faculties are average some are good some are bad, Most Faculties have bad teaching methods.. Passing exams are not difficult but academic pressure is lot after every 2-3 week there will be either quiz or midsem.
Internships Opportunities
Many students get internship in 3rd year . This year Oracle also has taken some students for internship. In 2022 Oracle hired 24 students from our college . If someone doesn't get internship offer he can try off-campus . Also not students get internship from the college or from off- campus
Placement Experience
Some students get internship offer in their 3rd year , most of the students of CSE,IT,CE branches gets placement. Placement percentage for ETC is 60% and EEE is 40%. Highest package in 2023 is 39 LPA on campus, and average is 12 LPA. Companies like Oracle, media.net,Dell,TCS, Infosys visis our college.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees for 4 year is nearly 12 lakhs (4 years). 2 students from every branch will get fee waiver (only odisha students). Top 3 students of every branch (after exams) get some rewards. Average package of CSE is 13 LPA , IT and CE is 12LPA with nearly 90% placement percentage.
Campus Life
College life is not so good , compared to other colleges it is bad . IIIT Bhubaneswar's largest fest is Advaita (Techno-cultural Fest) , other events like (coding competition, hackathons ) also happens in the college. For exams Books are provided by college itself which you have to return after exams , also there is a central library in college in which there are so many books regarding every subject. In sports ,College holds GC (grand championship) among different branches every year.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel is necessary for every student (you cannot take room separately). In 1st year 1 room will be shared by 3 students , With separate fan, almirah, bed, table and chair. In 2nd year students can move to p- block (only if they get good CGPA). Hostel are equipped with fast wifi . Meal quality is below average ( mostly bad) and also there is less options for vegetarians.
Admission
50% of seats are reserved for Odisha students, They have to apply for addmission through college website they will get admission on the basis of jee rank. For students of other states they have to apply through jossa or csab , admission will be on the basis of jee rank. All other information is available on college website date,fees etc.
