One of the best engineering colleges in Gujarat, LDCE is the place you want to be. Obviously there are colleges better than this but not ahead by far. The management is very student friendly. Even the principal is very open-minded and friendly which makes the college life easier and joyful.

Admissions are based on the marks score in boards and the GUJCET examination. A cumulative score of ratio 70:30 is made with the marks scored in the board having the majority.

The course structure is fair enough. For the first year, the students study general subjects and the subjects of all mainstream engineering fields, because after one year the students have a choice of they want to change their field of study. The main subjects are started to be taught from the second year onwards. Along with this, a subject named Design Engineering has been introduced by the GTU(Gujarat Technological University) in which students have to study the current scenario, research about it, identify the problems, give possible solutions and implement the ideas. Also the other core subjects are taught in such a way that the basics are very clear and also the students are in touch with the recent technologies.

No, the college doesn't provide any internship. But the structure is such that the students are free to join any internship in other companies without facing too much of a problem.

The placements are very good. Companies such as L&T, TCS, Accenture, TATA, Adani, Reliance etc come for campus placements along with a lot of local and state level companies. A lot of events are celebrated during the year. Sahitya Sarita, Xitij, Lakshya- The techfest of the college, sports week, TARANG a space and science fest to name a few. There are a lot of clubs that carry out different small and large events throughout the year in the college.

The fee is very nominal. It is a government college and hence very less fee is charged. The fee is only 2300 per year which includes only the college fee and library fee.

There is one free seat in every branch for every batch. Alongside this, there are scholarships for reserved category students with less household income and also one can avail MYSY scholarship of the state government.

There are several clubs performing various activities in the campus. Healthy campus - carries out activities related to sports. The Speakers Club - Enhances skills such as public speaking, debate etc. Prakalpa - The Physics club of the college Innovator - Encourages students to do project work and other career-related activities There are many others Vox Populi, Rotaract LDCE, NSS, NCC to name a few. The ROBOCON LDCE recently represented the college and won a prize at a national level competition.

The facilities are good enough. For a very less cost for the facilities are far better. The food is also above par. Cleanliness is maintained in the campus. There are employees for regular cleanliness. There is also a facility of dry cleaning for the hostel students.

The LAA is the alumni association of the college. Students from previous batches as far as few decades back are part of it. A lot of seniors are also very helpful. Open to any queries and very friendly. Once you get to know them there is nothing such as senior or junior there is just pure give and take of respect, experience sharing and give and take of knowledge from both sides.

Exams are conducted by the GTU (Gujarat Technological University) twice in a year .i.e there is a semester system. In a semester the college conducts the internal examination, internal viva, submissions and project submission of Design Engineering. All of this is important. The final exams are of 70 marks each. The results are made by a cumulative of all above factors.

The whole admission process is common for all the colleges of Gujarat state. The admissions are monitored by the ACPC Gujarat State. The students have to obtain a unique code from the bank specified by the ACPC in that particular year by giving them the fees(Rs. 350 in my case) to be a part of the process. Later the whole process is online. The students have to select the college's according to their preference and submit the list on the ACPC website. The ACPC then gives out a seat matrix of the students about where they were allocated the seats. Those happy with the seat allocation can confirm their seats by paying the fee at the allocated college. Others can retry in the second round. Total 3 rounds are conducted online. The final round is offline for the 1-2 seats left in any college.

The faculties hired are very learned and highly qualified for the job as the process is made on the basis of GPSC the public service commission of Gujarat. Faculties have a thorough knowledge of the concerned subject and teach in a manner so as to make the subject, even more, easier for the students. The faculty is also very friendly and always open for any type of questions and doubts.
