Likes

All the staff are supportive and listen to students.
Many small events are organised on a regular basis.
Management focuses to increase the skill of students in coding.

Dislikes

Campus is of very small size so less area to explore.
It lies in outskirt of city so less connected from main city.
Placement is decreasing gradually every year and no big company is coming.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose ce due to my interest in coding. Faculty students ratio is almost 10:1. Almost all the faculty are well qualified and teaches well. Term exam is on time and it need a good amount of study to get good grades.

Class Size: 76Course Fees: INR 250000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Companies like Oracle, media. net, cognizant visits the campus for placement and internship opportunity. They provide stipend from 30k to 1 oakh a month. Students can do many projects and on the basis of it they get internship opportunity.

Placement Experience

Students are eligible for internship in the 5th semester and campus poacement from 7th semester. Highest package oast year was 39 lpa and average was 12 lpa. Placement percentage was 90 percent. After getting degree i would do upsc.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee is equal to all other iiit in india. A small hike in fees is seen every semester for my batch. Local residence of orissa can avail tfw schemes. Internship opportunity are provided in the 3rd year of course.

Campus Life

The annual fest is advaita which is conducted in month of march and is biggest techno cultural fest of orissa.library is well equipped with alo the books and journals. Classroom contains fans onoy. Sports are given priority by management. There are many clubs for dance, music, drama, coding etc..

Hostel Facilities

Rooms are triple seater and contains three fans. No ac is available. Mess is not upto the mark. Hosteo are alloted to every first student years. It is in gothapatna area and we can find some apartment near it which is available for rent.

Hostel Fee: INR 18000 per year

Admission

Admission is done on the basis of rank in jee main exam. Students who are in 12th or have taken maximum 2 drops and have taken pcm in 12th can fill the form. Cutoff for cse is 45 k for general category students. Admision is done through jossa counselling.

Course Curriculum Overview:

For csit the subjects kee changing accroding to the trendy stuffs that are currently going on but it was really hard to keep with that when all your subjects are changed and you have o idea or previous year qs to geta reference from. Exams are conducted continously with no gaps and its not a easy stuff students get lot of stress but still somehow manage.

A Complete Review of KIIT University from a Student's View

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities at KIIT are quite good, especially for us the CSE students.The eligibility criteria for campus placements starts from 7th semester. Many well-known companies visit the university every year like TATA Consultancy Services , Infosys, Wipro, Accenture and Capgemini.The average package offered is around 6-8 lakhs and highest package offered around per yr avg is 50-60 lakhs.The percentage of students getting placements is around 90% plus in average per yr. After completing my degree, i plan to work in software industry and gain more experience in the field of technology

Placement Experience:

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from their 3rd year onwards. It has been only 2-3 months but I have seen several companies arriving at the college, prominent ones being Flipkar,Deloitte, Xerox, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, Dell and several others including startups. There is no accurate data on how many offers have been made this year, but there are rumours that more than 95% of the eligible students have got placements. After getting a degree my plans are if I dont land into a satisfying job then I will start my preparation of the military or start a new business.

So from 7th semester plcements are starting.Various Tech and Non Tech companies are also coming like TCS ,Accenture, Cognizant, Delloitte, InfoSys, KFinTech, Incture, GyanSys, Iserveu for Tech branches. and PRADAN, Aditya Birla etc for Non tech branches. Students also getting offers from OffCampus like RedHat ,CISCO ,Amazon ,Google. From On Campus Highest Package goes upto 12 to 15LPA and lowest is 4.5 but average is 5 to 6 LPA which is comperable. And about almost all are who are opting for placements got placed eventually.

After 6th semester the students get eligible for company placement. There are huge companies visited every year for the placement and many big MNCs like Amazon offers 100seats , Wipro offers 200, detollite offers 100, microsoft offers 10, ITC offers 150 , Infosys offers 300, TCS offers 200, Flipkart offers 150 and many more . Every year almost 80% of the students get placed at a good company with a minimum of 4 lakhs . After getting the degree I am planning to get placed in a multi national company like Amazon or Microsoft

Placement Experience:

See basically you placement depends on you .If you work hard you will get placed with a good package.In our college last year the avg package for CSE was around 13 Lakh per annum and highest was about 39 lakh per annum.Companies like Amazon,oracle Microsoft etc visited our college .After 4 th or 5 th semester i Think we are all capable of getting placed .

A Decent Experience

I chose IIIT Bhubaneswar over the other college I applied to, which was KIIT, mainly because IIIT Bhubaneswar felt like a better fit for my long-term goals in terms of coding culture, academic seriousness, and overall brand value as a government-backed technical institute. Even though I got admission in KIIT, I preferred IIIT because the peer group here is more focused on programming, internships, and placements, and the environment pushes me to stay consistent and improve my skills. Also, when I compared both colleges, KIIT has a bigger and more happening campus life, but IIIT Bhubaneswar feels more career-driven and closer to the kind of tech exposure I wanted. I got admission into IIIT Bhubaneswar through the Odisha category, where the selection is done based on eligibility and merit as per the counselling process, and the overall admission experience was smooth for me. The basic eligibility was passing 12th with Physics and Mathematics, and the admission process mainly involved counselling, document verification, and fee payment, after which the final seat confirmation was done.
