Likes

The environment of the campus is good and peaceful.
The seniors of our college are supportive.
The teachers are highly educated and knowledgeable.

Dislikes

Some of the teachers don't have good knowledge about their own subject.
College conducts very less sports fest and sports activities.
The training and industrial exposure is less in our college.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is average and the subjects are good for students of coding and science background. The subjects including in the curriculum are mostly related to coding and tech. The faculty are good and helpful. Most of the faculty members are knowledgeable and highly educated.

Class Size: 180Course Fees: INR 84000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure is good and slightly less as compared to other private colleges. The cost of one year is around 85k. The campus placement is good and most of the students get placed in on-campus placement.

Campus Life

The campus life is good and enjoyable. The environment of the campus is good and peaceful. The infrastructure is good and far better than other colleges. Tha college campus is huge and every facilities is available in college. There are many clubs in our college like robonixx, cybercell, codevision, EDC and many more.

Admission

You can get admission in this college through entrance exam and direct admission also. For the west Bengal students there is one entrance exam named WBJEE. The average cutoff in WBJEE is 25k. And for JEE MAINS the average cutoff is 3 lacs. And many other state students take admission through direct admission also.

Placement Experience:

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

BCET Durgapur.Good campus but bad faculty and placement opportunities.

I say this earlier. First of all my JEE rank was little bit low, so I can't get any govt college. And at that time the CSE fees in almost every private college is arround 4 lakhs. But they asked high donation. Which was not affordable by my family. So I choose this college. Also I hear all private colleges are same.we have to do everything by ourselves. Faculties don't help us properly. And for admission you have to give WB JEE entrance exam. Other than that nothing. Also you can have a direct admission....Read More
