Likes

I like the library and the availability of books here and the behaviour of the staffs
The college have two big grounds to play which is quite good
Department smart room which have monitor computer, smart board and projecter which I like very much

Dislikes

I don't like the teaching techniques of faculty members
I don't like the toilets because the are dirty and we can see the cleaner in some blue moon.
I don't like the college website which is underdeveloped and is not maintained regularly

I choose this course because I love this subject and the subject will definitely help me to my future learning journey. There are 5 faculty members and around 40 students in each semester so faculty and student ratio is 1:8 3 faculty members are PhD qualified and 2 are master's qualified. From my perspective of view I am not satisfied with their teaching methods, the teaching methods are too old and they are not quite knowledge so I give 2 out of 5 in teaching methods. Exams are held within 4 to 5 months and quite difficult to pass, because the syllabus is huge and the time is short.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is quite affordable per year course fees is about 5000 rupees. I am currently getting Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum means Scholarship from West Bengal government. Currently I am studying so I don't get a job

Campus Life

Every year they conducted a college fest named "Vission" in December month abd also our department arrange national level seminar for students in college premises. The college library named Central Library is pretty big and full of books every kind of course related books are available here and also the journals are available. The classrooms are cleaned and big and also smart classroom are available here. Every kind of indoor and outdoor games are played here like cricket football and also the college arrange annual sports every year. In Facebook there is available our college social group name Vivekananda Mahavidyalaya,Burdwan

Admission

The student should have to qualify the higher secondary examination with 80% of result. The application form is available in college website (cams.vmbdn.in), the application fees is about 2800 rupees and the application dates will be announc after the Higher secondary examination. No I don't think any improvement needed.

Placement Experience:

After completing the 5th Semester the student are eligible for placement but the student should have 7.5 CGPA and a good attendence for the palcement after this oncampus placement like TCS, wipro, accenture etc come for placement with a native package of around 6-8 LPA. Which is goood . Nearly as per report around 80% of studentt gets placed every year . After i complete this course i have decide to go master degree in data science which will be benificial for me for international company.

Placement Experience:

Placement or internship depends on the course Duration . Overall placement is good . The highest package is 1cr/ yr. And the average package 2to3 lakh/ yr. After getting the bsc. degree in Forensic science, I want to prepare for compitive exam or prepare for higher studies.

How an average student sees his College

Remarks:

Pros:The teachers very very helpful and friendly. Loans and scholarships available. Faculties are highly qualified. Infrastructure is awesome. Cons: no placement. No stipends There wasn’t any hostel facility. Canteen could be developed.
