Course Curriculum Overview
I choose this course(b tech in CSE) because CSE has job opportunities, better salaries and job satisfaction, global appeal and significance, versatility in terms of job roles etc. Student to faculty ratio is about 70:1.Faculties are highly qualified.They are phds from IITs, NITs , IIITs etc. Teaching method is very good. The teachers are cooperative. Exams are held in terms of semesters. Each year has two semesters. Each semester has one mid sem exam(30 marks), 1 end sem exam(70 marks) and 20 marks for Teacher assessment, quiz or project depending upon faculty. For passing 1 semester, student need to score 35 marks out of 100 to pass which is very difficult as checking procedure is very strict.

Placement Experience
Placement in our college is very good. Almost 90% student get placed. From 5th semester students become eligible for campus placements. This year (2023) 59 companies visited such as Amazon, Infosys, Media.net, Oracle, TCS etc. Highest package is 30lpa offered by media.net and average package is 13lpa.

Campus Life
Our Annual techno - culturalfest is "Advaita" in which students from different colleges like IITs, NITs , IIITs, GFTIs and other state and private colleges take part in event. It will be conducted in the mo nth of February.Various books are available in our library including text books, magazines, comics etc. The amenities in classroom includes desks, chairs, black board, projectors and some times audio visual equipments for presentation.Additionally, there are facilities for Internet access and power outlets for students.There are various societies for sports & extra curricular activities such as - Sports Society, Cult Society etc.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel rooms are 3 bedded, 4 bedded and single ( for students above 8 cgpa) with 24/7 electricity, water supply and wifi. There is separate hostel for boys and girls. Meal quality is excellent and menu is very nice.Registration process for hostel is during admission process. Roommates are selected on the basis of lottery conducted.
Admission
Admission for IIIT Bhubaneswar involves applying through JEE mains and GATE. After qualifying JEE mains, candidate need to appear for counselling conducted by Josaa or Csab.Also, IIIT Bhubaneswar has its own counselling process for Odisha Category students.So, its essential to check IIIT Bhubaneswar website - iiit-bh.ac.in for its own counselling process. There is reservation for SC, ST, Green Card Holder, PWD, Ex-serviceman, EWS, Students from Govt. Of Odisha high schools and colleges.
