Remarks

To sum it up, Your 4 years of college life will be the best years of your life because we have a mix of academics as well as extra curriculars. You can enjoy your life to the fullest.

Entrance Preview

I got into this college through MHCET. I got 131 out of 200 in CET. I am pursuing Computer Engineering from this college. I opted for this college because this was the best choice for me regarding connectivity, quality, placements etc.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The BE course is of 4 years. The first year is basics of all the branches. From second year, your core subjects start. We follow the Mumbai University Syllabus and Curriculum and it is well known around the world. As far as research is concerned, I'm in second year so don't know much about it.

Internships Opportunities

No, our college doesn't provide intership but our training and placement department provides you with various internships in different companies. they setup interview for you from where your skills and abilities take you through.

Placement Experience

4

Placements are good. To my knowledge, around 75% students got placed in different companies. But it is usually more than 95% in CS or IT department. TCS is the major company that visits us. Along with that ATOS, TechMahindra, Morgan Stanley, JP morgan and many other visit our campus. Average package can be considered around 4 L.P.A whereas packages in dream companies can be 8-10 LPA.

College Events

4.5

Horizon annual event is main attraction 3 day event will have fun sports,DJ night all kind of stuff. lots of technical events happen like tech now, techmate etc each sem have one technical event which is also 3 days event. This was the very good thing about RAIT. They have lots of cultural events yearly function were some poplar singer or personality came to visit. Have fashion show on yearly function you can participate in the functions.

Fee Structure And Facilities

In the first year we had to pay 1,01,000 as our fees which reduced to 85,000 in the second year. In the next year i'll have to pay 94000 so it revolves around this much. This is for the general category study without any scholarship or freeship. Also the fees varies if you belong to reserved category like SC/ST/OBC.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships are available indeed. To know more about it please contact the college administration for the same. I haven't availed any scholarship as of such.

Campus Life

4.5

Regular events and parties, cultural and tech fests keep happening. 60-40 male to female gender ratio can be observed. Sports enthusiasts will find a good place here because of the vast campus and the various clubs present. We have technical and social clubs in our college. If you have interest in art, dance or music then we have clubs like Kalaraag. We also have various technical clubs like CSI,ITSA,ISA etc.Students are mainly from Marathi community and also there is diversity in students as well. The college is very much tolerant with regards to gender, race, caste, ethnicity, religion etc.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Our college doesn't provide hostel facilities. Students from who want such facilities often tend to live in PG or flat with sharing basis. It would cost you around 50000 or so depending on the facilities.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network of our college is very large. Many people in the silicon valley are from our college. Also our alumni function was organised in the US last year. Shankar Madhavan is from our college and I bet you know who he is.

Exam Structure

We have 2 unit tests each semester each of which is worth 20 marks. At the end of the semester we have our practicals and oral exams. After which we give our end sem exams. Ofcourse we have practicals every week ir every day according to your syllabus. And regular assignments and lab reports are to be written and that is very tiring.

Admission

I got admission in this college through CAP. When you get this college, freeze your seat and then head straight to the college for further admission process. In the college you will be asked to fill the form and other details and then you have to pay the fees and that's it. If you face any problem during the process then don't worry the college authorities will help you out.

Faculty

4

Faculties of our college is very good. As far as Computer branch is concerned, they are very good. They all are mostly ME/MTech graduates with some PhD or pursuing. They are friendly and you can have an open conversation with then. They will solve all your doubts if you have.

Once student get placement offer from one company that student is not allowed to apply next company which package is near to previous company. Placement in Kit college in my year is 70 to 75%.
