Likes

It's good to sound that in our college we have a good faculty members.
Our college have good infrastructure and we have temples in our college.
In BCET every student have supportive seniors

Dislikes

It's a very small campus and it's faces much difficulties to organise any event.
College provides only one annual sports and any circular activity.
Some faculty members not so good in their teaching skills.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this course because it is my dream to be a software developer since when I'm in 9th class and you all know that this course is much needed in our society. Talk about our faculty members it's preety good in our college they're very supportive to students and passionate about what they're doing.Their teaching knowledge is pretty good and if you don't understand what they're teaching then they will give you some extra classes to solve your problem.

BCET HAS A AFFORDABLE FEE STRUCTURE THAT ANYONE CAN AFFORD IT.AND IT HAS A OPPORTUNITY OF SCHOLARSHIP BOTH IN STATE AND CENTRAL LEVEL LIKE SVMCM IN WEST BENGAL AND NSP IN CENTRAL LEVEL .COLLEGE HAS A PRTTY GOOD PLACEMENT CELL AND IT GIVES OPPORTUNITY TO EVERY SINGLE STUDENTS AS PER THEIR SKILLS.

Campus Life

Our college conduct an annual fest named carpediem in month of June every year and our tech fest conducted by our college named code vision.College has a big central library of 15000 books and journals. Our college classroom has well furnished benches and desk . College provides variety of sports facilities in their campus like basketball, cricket, football etc.Robonix is a famous social groups in our college in which every student can join and enjoy their college life

Admission

It was a entrance exam process means you have to give a wbjee/jee entrance exam and a score a good ranks then you have to do the counselling process to take admission in your dream college , if the cutoff will match with your rank then you will get admission in your dream college and I don't want any changes in admission process because it's already a best merit list process get the admission.

Placement Experience:

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

THERE ARE FAR BETTER OPTIONS

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

BCET Durgapur.Good campus but bad faculty and placement opportunities.

I say this earlier. First of all my JEE rank was little bit low, so I can't get any govt college. And at that time the CSE fees in almost every private college is arround 4 lakhs. But they asked high donation. Which was not affordable by my family. So I choose this college. Also I hear all private colleges are same.we have to do everything by ourselves. Faculties don't help us properly. And for admission you have to give WB JEE entrance exam. Other than that nothing. Also you can have a direct admission....Read More
