Good remarks: college campus's environment is quite heavenly.. Weather is very good.. Not so hot not so cold in winters.. But rainy season is there for 4 to 5 months.
Entrance Preview
I cracked NIMCET exam for this. And I got AIR-98 so I got Nitk surathkal in councelling. And our nit ranks 2nd in overall ranking of colleges for Mca.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is quite good, emphasis on latest technologies. Our course Master of computer applications provides complete emphasis on programming with many languages like c, c++, and Java as well. Project is also alloted to every Mca aspirant and all do to their best.
Internships Opportunities
Yeah.. NITK provides internship every year with lots of companies visiting there for internship program. But I have not yet got any internship.
Placement Experience
Average placement for Mca on Nitk is above 6.5 lakhs per annum.. N highest package goes above 20 lack too. Many companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Morgan Stanley, Kla tenor, and many more companies about 100s of companies visit every year for placements.. And give placements to all deserving candidates.
College Events
Many technical events like ignite, engi fest, and many more cultural events are celebrated here, beach programs, crescendo event N many more events that last more than a week are celebrated every month N specially some of its events like engi fest is India's one of the best fest..
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is quite feasible, and for each courses like Mca MBA btech each course have its different fee schedule.. N corresponding scholarships are also given to Obc as well as SC and st category students.. It may be expensive for some guys so for them also bank provide decent loan with very low rate of interest
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes many different kinds of scholarships are offered to students.. Even to general category students.. Yes I availed scholarship for mess charges. N also loan facility is available in campus.
Campus Life
Gender ratio is normal.. I think 4 boys are there for every 3 girls.. 4:3 is gender ratio.. N many extra curricular activities are there.. Like marathon race beach party.. Dj nights.. Whole enjoyment is provided within campus.. Student council is there to listen to problems of students.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities are really very nice. Many hostel blocks, as well as mega towers, are there to accommodate more than 500 students in a single block. All-time electricity supply is there with proper can supply and a high-speed wifi is also available.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes our alumnis members are very helpful.. Last year we started a technical event named ignite and in that alumni members helped alot with financial support from abroad alumnis too.
Exam Structure
Exam structure is designed very beautifully.. Each year compromises of two semesters and each semester have four main exams.. As well as practical exams for all practical subjects, one mid semester exam one end semester exam and two quizzes exam before these final exams
Admission
After cracking the nimcet exam there's a councelling process for college allotment, and then after documents verification we opted for this Mca course. The admission process is completely dependent on your rank in nimcet exam if you qualify to opt the college then u can get admission here.
Faculty
Faculties of Nitk are quite good in some aspects. But not all faculties are up to the mark for Nitk according to a student. Some of the faculty members are really very responsible as well as experienced and have good teaching aids... But few teachers are not so good who are still assistant.
