An average learning college with good infrastructure

The college is really good . provides great infrastructure for labs, classrooms, and sports ground. I think the college uniform is quite boring . Good management, sometimes the staff behaves rude, which unbeatable. If the location has been better, the college could have reached more heights. Concluding, I really enjoy life here, though its really very hot and polluted atmosphere.

WBJEE 2016 there is no score given. I got 23k general rank in WBJEE 2016 I opted for this college because it has a wonderful past. It has great infrastructure, compared to Kolkata colleges which just has a tall standing building. It has been active in every field of sport to make us enjoy our health and fitness, and have an active working mind, not robotic ones.

The course is good, but due to the old followed syllabus of MAKAUT, there less to learn about the current technology. The system and technology have not been updated for years now. The colleges situated in South India are more advanced, compared to MAKUTA. There is literally no scope for researches here. Though, our college provides and IOT lab for researchers, which is quite appreciating.

No, College does not provide internships. Many workshops and training programme is organized on the campus.

Placement and job scenario is good compared to the location. Most of the other colleges have poor placement record. around 200 students were placed Company like Cognizant, TCS, SAP Labs, Tech Mahindra, Wipro, Capgemini, and most another start up companies come here. The company provides an annual package of 3 lakhs mostly non-core students are placed.

Every year the college with the help of students organise big events. Fresher's Meet for the 1st year students Sports Day in Feb or March Annual Tech Fest named Horizon is organized with great enthusiasm Just after tech fest, Culture fest is organized. This year, Emon Chatterjee came to our college and gave an outstanding performance. Farewell for the final year students.

College provides scholarship up to 50% to the deserved students in every department. Forms come during the 1st years, 1st sem course . College do not provide loans , but does best for the student to get the a loan through banks

Hostel Facilities are good only one problem , students have to adjust much because there are 4 students in a room, which makes the room little messy all the time . Food quality is not good , more improvement is required for items selection and making

Exams are frequent. Total two internal exams, assignments and lab works all before semester exams Labs are compulsory and frequent, which contains marks . the invigilators are strict and good managing faculty during sem exams This keeps us pressurized all day for work and less sleep, but it benefits the lazy students like us.

I filled up WBJEE 2016 form in Dec 2015 . uploaded the required documents (including domicile of WB ) and paid the fees under PCM option . by April 2016 , I recieved the admit card . Gave the exam in the last week of April after giving JEE MAINS 2016 Got 23k rank , which was released during 1st week of june . Filled up the counselling form for adminssion . paid Rs 20000 for counselling . got a college in every round , but I was satisfied with DR. B C ROY ENGINEERING COLLEGE , Durgapur , which I got in 2nd round . Then , I went to the nearest reporting center to futher stop to my counselling process and select this college . Then , I went to the college and paid the rest amount and the admission to this college with desired course and department.

Faculty is average , but helpful . Everyone is just associated with there daily job , only a few professors provide encouragement to students, who are greatly involved in the student activity, who have kept this college working. There many social programmes organized but the faculty members.
