College is nice and it is improving day by day. Architecture has really improved since few years. New. Lecture theaters are built and new departments are built.

JEE mains, 120 score I opted for NITJ because Jalandhar is my hometown and I was getting NIT brand.

Course structure was very great. Professors always indulge themselves in research work and even they motivate students to write research papers. The course structure is focused on latest developments also. Professors try to teach latest developments. Various elective courses are available according to your interest. Departmental electives also provide choices.

Yes, college appoint placement representatives in every branch. Those placement representatives help students to get internships by contacting various industries and companies. Most of the times stipend is not provided because it is learning training which is compulsory in the course curriculum. Overall experience depends on the type of organization in which you get an internship. Some students also convert their internships to PPOs I. E. Pre Placement offers.

Placements are very nice. For the batch 2014-18, placements were around 90%. Many companies like Amazon, Adobe, Oracle, Exl, ZS associates, Capgemini, Delloitte, Reliance, BPCL, GAIL, Square Corporation visited and took students. Even coaching centers like Resonance, Motion IITJEE, CatalyseR, Career point took students for different subjects. PSUs like BPCL and GAIL recruited students directly from instrumentation branch through campus.

Every year there is two fests, technical and cultural fest. The technical fest is TechNiTi and the cultural fest is Utkansh. Every year many students from different colleges visit to participate. Every year Bharat Dhwani is celebrated to mark the foundation day of NITJ. Alumni meet is scheduled every year in which old students of institute visit and cherish their times again.

The fee structure is feasible. It is now categorized according to the economic status of the student. So, it becomes more feasible and varies from 24000 to 1 lakh depending on the economic status of the student's family. It is quite feasible as compared to private colleges.

Yes, many organizations have partnered to provide interest-free loans to students of NITJ. Some banks like PNB are also providing loans. Scholarships are always announced on institute website and students can apply according to eligibility.

Campus life is awesome. It is ragging free campus and seniors are very supportive. The gender ratio is also good. Diversity is obviously nice because it's NIT. Labs are averagely maintained. Sports facilities like badminton court, basketball and volleyball court is there. Various societies are there which organize various activities and competitions for students regularly.

Hostel facility for first-year is not that well. 4 students are given one single room but the institute is building new hostels to overcome this problem. In the second year, it becomes more comfortable with 2 students in every room and from 3rd year, it is separate for everyone. Mess food is average.

Alumni meet is organized every year in which alumni visit and guide and help present batches. Seniors also help students at times of placements and they provide study material also.

Exam structure is like every semester, there are two minor exams and one major exam. Minor exams are of 20-20 marks and major is of 50 marks. 10 marks are given to assessment which depends on assignments and attendance. The Exam is only from the syllabus which is strictly discussed in class. Nothing outside the syllabus is asked.

First of all, after giving JEE mains, I got the result. Then JEE CSAB board scheduled counselling dates. Counselling was online and we had to fill our choices of colleges and branches according to our interests. Then various rounds happen and you get college as well as branch according to your AIR(All India Rank) and category. After getting seat, you have to report in the allotted college within 2-3 days with all documents and you have to deposit fees of first semester.

The faculty is nice and most of them are PH.d. from IITs and NITs. Some of them are very cool and motivate students very well. Some of them are old so they are primitive in their nature. They just want that students write what they have taught. If anything out of syllabus is written by the student, it is not supported.
