The environment is peaceful and good for students.
The campus is huge and there is facilities that are required.
The teachers are good and knowledgeable.

Dislikes

Some of the teachers dont have good knowledge.
Our college dont conduct very less sports fest.
The industrial exposure is not goid in our college.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is good and the subject are easy if you prepare for exam from starting. The faculty members are good and highly educated. Some of the teachers have good knowledge about teaching but not everyone.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure is good. The average cost for 1 year is 85k which is good as compared to other colleges. You can apply for any scholarship from our college. The campus job are good and placement is above 90% every year.

Campus Life

The campus life is good and environment is peaceful. The infrastructure is very good and the campus is huge. Also our college conducts many fest which is organized by many clubs of our college. There are clubs like robonixx, cybercell, codevision, EDC, And many more.

Admission

The admission process is done the basis of entrance exam. There are two entrance exam WBJEE and JEE MAINS for getting admission in our college. The average cutoff for WBJEE is 35k for CSE. For JEE MAINS the average cutoff is 3 lacs.

Placement Experience:

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

BCET Durgapur.Good campus but bad faculty and placement opportunities.

I say this earlier. First of all my JEE rank was little bit low, so I can't get any govt college. And at that time the CSE fees in almost every private college is arround 4 lakhs. But they asked high donation. Which was not affordable by my family. So I choose this college. Also I hear all private colleges are same.we have to do everything by ourselves. Faculties don't help us properly. And for admission you have to give WB JEE entrance exam. Other than that nothing. Also you can have a direct admission....Read More
