- The College campus is Very Clean and really ambient for studying.
- The Laboratories are always open for us to make Projects and there are plenty equipments that we can utilize to make those.
- The placements are really smooth with the help of the coordinators and the faculties.
Dislikes
- The classrooms don't have air conditioners installed so it is a real pain during summertime as it feels suffocatingly hot.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because it is flexible and I have opportunities to pursue several kind of fields for my career. The faculty student ratio is approx 1:20 for our stream. All the faculties are well qualified and have completed their M.Tech Degree from the best Universities across West Bengal like WBUT or CU. The exams are usually early than other colleges and are moderately diificult.
Internships Opportunities
there's not really much internship opportunities that the college provides. You have to find out them on ypur own if you want to do soome. But there are some opportunities that come by in the third and the fourth year. They are not paid mostly so they barely catch student attention.
Placement Experience
The students are eligible for the placements after the sixth semester. The companies that generally visit us for placements are TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Accenture, Wipro, Oracle, IBM and some other ones. The highest package offered through last years is 22 Lacs Per Annum and on average it is 4-5 LPA. 90% students on average get placed Every year. My plans after getting the Degree is to pursue Freelancing Full Time and Become a Web Designer.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are actually really high for my college. The admission fee for my admission was.90000 Rs. and after that we have to pay 70000 Rs. for each semester. There is opportunity to avail the scholarship that the West Begal Government Provides and also some other loans to ease the financial needs for studying. The college department allocated for that is really cooperative.
Campus Life
There are fests for students upto the third years. For the first year there's a general fest and tech fest and for the next two years there's the tech fest. The two campuses where we studied for three years both have dedicated libraries to aid the need of books for students of all streams. We don't need to buy books as a reason. The campus rules are really strict. We have to maintain a good attendance record to sit for the semester exams. The scope for extracurricular activities is very less as there's no ground to play in the campus and the college doesn't really promote that sort of stuff.
Admission
I took the WBJEE exanm to get my admission. The application form of the exam can be found on the official website of WBJEE by West Bengal Government. I didn't avail in reservation benefits. I got a rank of 3346 and the cut off for ECE was 8000.
