Likes

There is very strict laws against ragging.
The campus is very beautiful and very vast.
The sports facilities in the college is very good.

Dislikes

The attendance percentage is very high 85%.
The teachers teach very quickly and with pdf’s only.

Course Curriculum Overview

According to my rank, I was only getting this course. The faculty-student ratio is very good. All the faculty are well qualified and all have done PhD in their own course. The term exams are done every 1 to 2 months and the difficulty is a bit hard.

Internships Opportunities

The internship opportunities is available for every branch and all the roles. The students work is only to work hard and improve their skills. By this a student can get any internship. More non-core companies come to the internship as compared to core companies.

Placement Experience

From the end of 6 sem students are eligible for campus placement. Top companies visited the college with more than 700 offers. Highest package- 83LPA Average Package - 13 LPA Placement percentage is approx 95% To take placement.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees in NIT Rourkela is affordable and students get fee waivers. There are different state and national scholarship which is given to students according to their eligibility. According to their parental annual income they get fee waivers in tuition fees.

Campus Life

In total 4 fest are conducted every year. Tech Fest- INNOVISION in month of November. All the books from which professor teach are available in library. There are various sports in the college. Monday Morning

Hostel Facilities

You get beds without mattress, study table, LAN. The meal quality is ok but not like home. During the admission time you will be told to take the hostel rooms. There are sufficient room for accommodation of the students.

Hostel Fee: INR 20000 per year

Admission

JEE MAINS ranks were used to get admission. JOSAA WEBSITE was used to do all the admission procedures. NO RESERVATION APPLIED because I was from a general caste. The admission process is pretty good and no improvement is needed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

For csit the subjects kee changing accroding to the trendy stuffs that are currently going on but it was really hard to keep with that when all your subjects are changed and you have o idea or previous year qs to geta reference from. Exams are conducted continously with no gaps and its not a easy stuff students get lot of stress but still somehow manage.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities at KIIT are quite good, especially for us the CSE students.The eligibility criteria for campus placements starts from 7th semester. Many well-known companies visit the university every year like TATA Consultancy Services , Infosys, Wipro, Accenture and Capgemini.The average package offered is around 6-8 lakhs and highest package offered around per yr avg is 50-60 lakhs.The percentage of students getting placements is around 90% plus in average per yr. After completing my degree, i plan to work in software industry and gain more experience in the field of technology

Placement Experience:

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from their 3rd year onwards. It has been only 2-3 months but I have seen several companies arriving at the college, prominent ones being Flipkar,Deloitte, Xerox, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, Dell and several others including startups. There is no accurate data on how many offers have been made this year, but there are rumours that more than 95% of the eligible students have got placements. After getting a degree my plans are if I dont land into a satisfying job then I will start my preparation of the military or start a new business.

So from 7th semester plcements are starting.Various Tech and Non Tech companies are also coming like TCS ,Accenture, Cognizant, Delloitte, InfoSys, KFinTech, Incture, GyanSys, Iserveu for Tech branches. and PRADAN, Aditya Birla etc for Non tech branches. Students also getting offers from OffCampus like RedHat ,CISCO ,Amazon ,Google. From On Campus Highest Package goes upto 12 to 15LPA and lowest is 4.5 but average is 5 to 6 LPA which is comperable. And about almost all are who are opting for placements got placed eventually.

After 6th semester the students get eligible for company placement. There are huge companies visited every year for the placement and many big MNCs like Amazon offers 100seats , Wipro offers 200, detollite offers 100, microsoft offers 10, ITC offers 150 , Infosys offers 300, TCS offers 200, Flipkart offers 150 and many more . Every year almost 80% of the students get placed at a good company with a minimum of 4 lakhs . After getting the degree I am planning to get placed in a multi national company like Amazon or Microsoft

See basically you placement depends on you .If you work hard you will get placed with a good package.In our college last year the avg package for CSE was around 13 Lakh per annum and highest was about 39 lakh per annum.Companies like Amazon,oracle Microsoft etc visited our college .After 4 th or 5 th semester i Think we are all capable of getting placed .
