- Weather is very comfortable here nd its very refreshing
- The behavior of all the people towards each other is very polite
- The vast campus is like a big park for us to get our minds refreshed
Dislikes
- We have to do a lot of cycling inside the campus as it is built in hilly areas
- Food ordered through online is not allowed to enter the campus. One has to go to the gate to get it
- We are not allowed to remain outside the hostel after 1 AM
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose this course because I always think about vehicles and their mechanisms.. So it is a perfect branch for me. Our faculty is a very good natured person always ready to help in our tough times and encourage us. In our class the ratio of boys to girls is 5:1. Our faculty has done phd and have teaching experience for more than 10 years. The term exams were timely and it was not so difficult to pass them.
Internships Opportunities
Cognizent and microsoft are the most listened internship program heard. They recruit for 1-2month will monthly stioend of 12000.They need to make the students feel that what their company actually do and how the student can add their contribution to the company
Placement Experience
From 6th semester onwards they become eligible for campus placements. Many companies like microsoft, cognizent etc visited and made several offers , the exact figure I could not recall. Highest package as of now according to my knowledge is 93 lakhs per annum, 70-80% students gets placed if they are sincere. I would live my dream after the degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes, the fees is quite high in this Institute but the quality is very good considering the fees. The hostel fees are not fixed.. They might increase or decrease depending on the number of consumers. Till now I have applied for only one scholarship of reliance but the results are not yet declared
Campus Life
Annual fest is nitrustav held in February 2024 and tech fest is innovision held during November 2023. Library is full of different types of books for different streams. Classroom is modernized with smart board and projector. All the types of sports are being played here and the event vridhi was held in NIT Rourkela hosting different games. Clubs such as c cube, udaan, team black mamba etc are run by the students
Hostel Facilities
Room accomodates 2 beds and one table with individual electric connection. Meal quality is good and the menu is mouth watering. Registration process for hostel is very simple and fast and they are affordable.
Admission
The admission to mechanical engineering requires minimum of 97 percentile or rank bele 25k.The details of application form and fees can be found in NTA website.If there is reservation then the percentile to get admission gets reducedand it gets easier to take admission in NIT Rourkela. According to me the admission process is perfect and does not need any changes
