Likes

Full open and exploring environment of campus.
Sports and gym facilities for boys and girls.
Extra circullar activities like NCC,NSS in campus.

Dislikes

Placement is not so good. On Internship opportunities is not also provided.
Management and accountant behaviour to students.
Local language are mostly spoken by faculty.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is good but faculty is not so interactive except 2 or 3 departmental faculty. Girls vs boys students ratio are almost 1:1. Most of the faculty are masters or PhD in qualification but their teaching method is so conservative. Exams are on time but as I am first offline watch after COVID , my batch is facing somewhat trouble. That's your a nostalgia question, "how difficult to pass"?

Placement of college were well but this year it not good as previous. Major recruiters are Capegimi,TCS, Accenture, Cognizant and various other. My plans is get placed campus as well as I am also working on off campus offer.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees structure is fair but this year , I mean for batch 23-27 there is a huge hike in fee. Scholarship is available whether it is state or central. Campus placement is also good. Major recruites are capegimi, TCS,etc

Campus Life

Life at campus is enjoyable. Annual and tech fest are occured mainly in the month of January. Central Library book and journal collection is also good. Basketball, cricket, volleyball, football and various indoor games are available in the college. Extra curricular activities like NCC,NSS and many other clubs are also present.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel facilities are somewhat poor. Maintenance is under going and they got more active when NBA or university officer comes for checking. Meal quality is good. You should be attentive for eating good mean, you have to raise voice whenever meal quality got low. Ya , various local mess are also available.

Hostel Fee: INR 100000 per year

Admission

I got admitted through Wbjee exam. Application process starts of wbjee starts from las December and filled upto last January. Application form can be found on wbjee site. Exam may occur in April or may and counselling process starts from June. Admission occur in mid of July.

Placement Experience:

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

In wbjee minimum rank you should get to admit in cse it branches is 30000... application form are available in college site..it should be better if u do it in offline mode..in a year 2 semesters are organised one in December and one in June....more workers should be hired during admission time.....Read More
