Good and clean campus with great labs and tecnical facilities

Too busy schedule with lot of classes and labs
Dispensary being very far from hostelss.
Gender ratio is very poor as average engineering colleges

Course Curriculum Overview

Due to personal preferences i chose this course.Faculty student ratio is 1:20 and that's quite appreciable. Faculties have doctorate and post doctorate qualifications. Exams are conducted in duration of 1.5 months and it takes quite a lot of efforts to pass semester exams

Internships Opportunities

Companies like Amazon , flipkart , meta ,deloitte, tata steel , nalco , rourkela steel plant, netflix, SAIL, ONGC , BHEL etc provide internship with a good amount of stipend and placement opportunities

Placement Experience

In 3rd semester internship opportunities open up and in 4th year with projects and resume students are elligible for placements. Many companies visit and placement percentage is very good with a decent avergae package and offcampus placement opportunities are very good

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees hike is very minimal and it is very much affordable to study here and also allowances are provided on the basis of original reservation certificates. Campus offers scholarship from time to time and stipend is also provided to students pursuing PhD

Campus Life

Annual fest is NITRUTSAV and tech fest is INNOVISION and multi ethnic fest is COSMOPOLITAN. Library name is Biju Pattnaik library with great facilities and many books. Classrooms have AC. Sports facilities are great with sports fest as VRIDHHI.

Hostel Facilities

Rooms are clean with 1tubelight 1 fan and racks with 2bed and are spacious. Meal quality is great with nonveg on specific days . Just name and few documents are required for registration in hostel. PG renting is not allowed

Hostel Fee: INR 30000 per year

Admission

Admission in this college is done through selection in JEE MAINS.Application form ,dates could be found on official website of Jossaa, admission process could be improved by using AI and and automation.

Course Curriculum Overview:

For csit the subjects kee changing accroding to the trendy stuffs that are currently going on but it was really hard to keep with that when all your subjects are changed and you have o idea or previous year qs to geta reference from. Exams are conducted continously with no gaps and its not a easy stuff students get lot of stress but still somehow manage.

A Complete Review of KIIT University from a Student's View

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities at KIIT are quite good, especially for us the CSE students.The eligibility criteria for campus placements starts from 7th semester. Many well-known companies visit the university every year like TATA Consultancy Services , Infosys, Wipro, Accenture and Capgemini.The average package offered is around 6-8 lakhs and highest package offered around per yr avg is 50-60 lakhs.The percentage of students getting placements is around 90% plus in average per yr. After completing my degree, i plan to work in software industry and gain more experience in the field of technology

Placement Experience:

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from their 3rd year onwards. It has been only 2-3 months but I have seen several companies arriving at the college, prominent ones being Flipkar,Deloitte, Xerox, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, Dell and several others including startups. There is no accurate data on how many offers have been made this year, but there are rumours that more than 95% of the eligible students have got placements. After getting a degree my plans are if I dont land into a satisfying job then I will start my preparation of the military or start a new business.

Placement Experience:

So from 7th semester plcements are starting.Various Tech and Non Tech companies are also coming like TCS ,Accenture, Cognizant, Delloitte, InfoSys, KFinTech, Incture, GyanSys, Iserveu for Tech branches. and PRADAN, Aditya Birla etc for Non tech branches. Students also getting offers from OffCampus like RedHat ,CISCO ,Amazon ,Google. From On Campus Highest Package goes upto 12 to 15LPA and lowest is 4.5 but average is 5 to 6 LPA which is comperable. And about almost all are who are opting for placements got placed eventually.

Placement Experience:

After 6th semester the students get eligible for company placement. There are huge companies visited every year for the placement and many big MNCs like Amazon offers 100seats , Wipro offers 200, detollite offers 100, microsoft offers 10, ITC offers 150 , Infosys offers 300, TCS offers 200, Flipkart offers 150 and many more . Every year almost 80% of the students get placed at a good company with a minimum of 4 lakhs . After getting the degree I am planning to get placed in a multi national company like Amazon or Microsoft

Placements are ok but majority of the placement are for the IT and Cse sectors, but there are some core companies which offers a good packages. Around 40-50 % students pare placed in the companies and more over most of the students are up for the higher studies and cracking GATE exam.

See basically you placement depends on you .If you work hard you will get placed with a good package.In our college last year the avg package for CSE was around 13 Lakh per annum and highest was about 39 lakh per annum.Companies like Amazon,oracle Microsoft etc visited our college .After 4 th or 5 th semester i Think we are all capable of getting placed .

NIT ROURKELA THE ACTUAL REVIEW

I had a choice for chemical engineering in NIT Calicut,kerala my home state but i was not interested in chemistry so I dropped that choice and preferred electrical engineering in NIT Rourkela because choosing this would be more related to core and computer field which also was the one I was interested in.
