- Sometimes the way of teaching and hectic schedule like I feel I am doing too much classes like 7-8 classes in a day
- Less opportunity for the students who wants to learn any sports, you should know a sport to play here and also if you want to play matches you have to me master already
Course Curriculum Overview
I am passionate about computer science that's why I chose this course also I like machine learning that's why this branch suited me the most. Faculty-student ratio is fine here, there just no problem Faculties are well qualified they have minimum masters degree also from top universities. Exams are frequent and the final semester exam is very hard to pass as you don't know that from which module most of the questions come from.
Internships Opportunities
There are various companies but I don't have internships right now so I can't name many, one of them was virtusa, TCS and etc. In projects, there are so many you can do on your own I am in 2nd year and I already have 2 projects. You get funds for your projects too.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for placement from the 6th semester. They are TCS, Cognizant, Accenture, Synapse, Capgemini, etc there are so many for the other departments too The highest package of 2023 was 14 LPA and 2024 had 18 lpa CTC average package is 4.2 lpa All students get placed almost it's like 80-90. My plans are to acquire the highest package in my college ever.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee hike is high this year (2024) but it's overall fine at my time. West Bengal students get various scholarships like Swami Vivekananda's and etc. but I am from Bihar so no scholarships for boys who are from middle-class Currently, I am in 3rd semester so don't have any jobs or internships but decent companies come I have heard that.
Campus Life
The annual fest is called Zeal and the tech fest is called Horizon they are conducted in January. The library is pretty good and they have almost all the books an engineering student needs. The classrooms of my department are equipped with AC and projectors. There are cricket, basketball, football, and volleyball fields and there are various indoor sports like TT, and Carrom Karate also happen here. Extracurricular activities are there like sports day, aicte labs There is an ACM Student chapter BCREC club, a cultural club for singing and dancing, a robotics club, sports club.
Hostel Facilities
The room has 4 beds, with 4 small cupboards, 2 fans and 4 small tables along 4 chairs of basic plastic that's all we get in our rooms. We also get a free wifi connection there but you have to buy a router costing 2600 from college. The rooms are so basic and old. Meal quality is decent and eatable we can also set the menu with our discussion. The registration process is simple we had to fill out a form with a photo of our own it's affordable. I don't have rented any PG.
Admission
Eligibility of the course is you have to pass 12th examination and you must have above 60% marks in English, also you have to appear for WBJEE (maximum seats from this) can also be admitted through JEE. In case by rank was 40k. If you want to get admitted you have to go from counselling process of WBJEE for application in the college. There are different rounds. For Reservation if you have west Bengal domicile you will be preferred more. Though I am from out of WB. Admission process is quite good any improvement can be that if you are selected in 1st round and you don't want that branch or college and want to opt for 2nd round, you have to first be present at college in first round and pay fees 5000 Before sitting in round 2.
