Remarks

The college posses beautiful campus. SPIT is one of the dream college for Maharashtra students. If you are a SPIT student then believe me you are going to enjoy the student life.

Entrance Preview

MHT-CET and I had learned to code during my high school and also I had learned basics of electronics and electrical. But Coding is the thing which I found easier and interesting. My Score in CET was 130/200. The College reputation in market and positive feedback of seniors pursuing btech over there, is what makes me to choose this college. Also the college was near my house. The admission process is simple, you just have to score enough marks in CET.Then if your marks are more than the cut off this College then definitely you are eligible for admission. You can also take admission through jee main.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

As this was the First Year of Autonomy, the Syllabus was upgraded by the faculties on the basis of new research taking place in engineering. The practical was given more preference as compared to bookish knowledge. The institute liked introduced new technology (3D printing) for students.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, there are a lot of opportunities for an internship for students of spit. I am not sure of the stipend, but the experienced and the knowledge shared was appreciable. Also, the Institute provides long vacations which is much needed to complete internship properly.

The Gender ratios of this college is quit good as compared to other colleges of Mumbai. The Student Diversity is more because students not only come from Maharashtra but the students outside the Maharashtra are also entertained because of which there is diversity in thinking and ideas. No gender inequalities are promoted. There is no discrimination on behalf of race, religion, politics etc.Students are encouraged to participate in the Sports and other extracurricular activities including debates, music, dance etc.The Institute help the students to hunt their talent.Talented students are helped by faculties.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The didn't its own hostel but in SPCE hostel, some rooms are booked for SPIT students. The hostel were available for both boys and girls within the campus. The college campus had a mess as well as canteens. The fees for hostel is feasible. But I am not sure about the mess standard as I didn't used it.

Exam Structure

The Exams days were chilled out ones. Our practical sessions were too good that we don't even have to worry about the practical exams. The lectures interactive which really helped us to develop interest in particular course.Because of which we don't even feel the pressure in some exams. The faculties were experienced and available for students anytime during college hours.

Admission

I Scored 130/200 and I belong to SC caste category. So when the MHT-CET declared result we are supposed to fill the option form, where we are supposed to entered dream colleges name and we are asked to submit this form before deadline. After few days there CAP round begins.During CAP round 1,the students are selected for college according to there merit rank.So according to my merit rank I got seat in SPIT.Now there were three option : 1)Freeze 2) Float 3)Slide. 1) If you choose FREEZE means you are completely satisfied with the branch and college that you got and you are not interested in participating into further CAP rounds. 2)If you choose FLOAT means you are not satisfied with the college allocated to you and you are going to participate for further CAP rounds. 3)If you choose SLIDE means you are completely satisfied with the college that you got but you want to change the branch and you are going to participate for further rounds. In total there are 3 CAP rounds for private colleges and 4 CAP rounds for government colleges. Additionally, institutional level rounds are also there for the students. This rounds starts after cap rounds.

Faculty

5

Faculties offered by the college was damn good. They were too good to developed interest of students in particular course. The knowledge they share was not restricted to book. They always liked to share real life example rather then just teaching theoretically. Our sessions in class was interactive and not like one sided teaching. The discussions were truly enjoyable and qualitative. The main motive was to develop interest of students.
