Course Curriculum Overview
The course is based on the standard subjects provided by the Indian government for B-Tech programmes. The Faculty of the college are all qualified professors. The student ratio is around 4boys to 1 girl.
Internships Opportunities
As a fresher i have not acquired any intership but from what the seniors have to say, the faculty members are really supportive and provides students with intership opportunities both in and outside the college.
Placement Experience
We can sit for placements after the 6th semester. The average package for CSE branch is 9 LPA while for all branches it is 7.5 LPA. The college has a 80% placement rate with the students not opting for placements pursuing higher studies.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees of the college is 195000 for category 1 and increases based on your Category. The maximum fees for category 5 is 493000. The hostel fee also differs based on your room type. The different choices available for rooms are AC and NON-AC with 2 bed, 4 bed, 8 bed, 10 bed and 15 bed
Campus Life
The college conducts 2 annual fests. The first one is the Annual Technical fest called VTAPP which usually takes place in the month of December. The second one is the Annual Sports and cultural fest called VITOPIA. The college also has many clubs and chapters which also hosts many events.
Hostel Facilities
I am currently in a 2 bedded AC room with Non-Veg mess. The food of the mess is good and sustainable. You can get your choice of room with the hostel room counselling process that takes place based on your GPA.
Admission
You have to give the VITEEE exam to get into a VIT college. The application was around 1350 rs. You can apply for LR, english, physics and chemistry with either biology or maths. With biology you can get admission into Biotech course while with maths you can get into other engineering courses.
