Entrance Preview

KC college as the Mumbai knows is one of the most reputed. College which amazing faculties and varied courses offered. There bond with students and There throughout motivation made .me to go for this college.I had given CPT (CA entrance exams ) n scored 122 after my 12th

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

They focused on all aspects while teaching. They promoted sports. There wasn't much focus on practical learning at this stage since it was a junior college. There were elective options with b.com .you could have pursued other courses n it was managed very nicely

Placement Experience

5

The college also trains us to give job interviews better. They offer good packages. Like for a B.com pass out KPMG gives a package of 4,80,000 per annum which increases annually. They also come to college for B.com students who are pursuing CA to give articleship. The stipend amount varies from 5000-10000.

College Events

5

Kiran is the most dominant and recognized event of KC college .Menu Festivals Home Campus Life Festivals KIRAN KIRAN Kiran - 2015 organized by S.Co.P.E (Student’s Committee for Participation in Events) stood loyal to its theme Get Unconventional. This was the second year that K.C. College let the limelight of Kiran focus on its own students exclusively. It ensured that every student from every department was a part of it. The healthy competitive spirit of this inter-departmental festival intensified a feeling of loyalty and belongingness amongst the teachers and students. Everyone affiliated with the festival felt unified towards one common goal – to finally let loose and make it all about the college’s spirit. The festival donned a colossal audience and ensured that every student felt responsible for the department they represented. The Chairperson, Ms. Vindhya Barwal and Vice-Chairperson, Lovekumar Doshi took great efforts to ensure that the events were “quirky” and “out-of-the-box”.and Vice-Chairperson, Lovekumar Doshi took great efforts to ensure that the events were “quirky” and “out-of-the-box”. Celebrity Judges like Tanisha Mukharjee (‘Big Boss’ fame) Chandani Bhagnani, Kunwar Amar, Ayush Tandon (‘Life of Pi’ fame), Mohit Jadwani (Radio Mirchi RJ), Ryan Victor, Nandish Vora, Anu Malik, Prachi Shah & Mr. Aditya Bhatt (Reliance 4G) graced the festival for various events. The audience was awed by talented performances in the fields of singing, dancing, drama and various other informal events. One of the most appreciated events was Scrap Queen which encouraged students to fortify their creativity in creating outfits out of newspapers. The Title Sponsor of Kiran - 2015 was Purple Creations. The other major partners were Rare Grooves, PETA, Woopler and Indiana Travels. The inter-departmental festival turned out to be a success among students and got media coverage in Maharashtra Times, The Asian Age, Free Press Journal, Afternoon and Youth Incorporated.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is a bit expensive when it comes to the unaided section I paid 14000 to 16000 roughly don't remember the figure so IT can be reduced to a certain extent again just a suggestion fee structure is affordable. This fees also includes examination fees, library fees, gymkhana fees etc. It has to be paid once in a year each for three years.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have not personally availed such facility. But I suppose they have reduced or waived fees for schedule casten OBC category of students.

Campus Life

5

The sex ratio was more in favour of girls than boys . People from different caste religion were there but it never felt they were it was all one The extracurricular activities included badminton, carrom, chess and all games were very well maintained.they were debate competition. KIRAN. That was the best part of being in KC.. Mostly student were there from higher middle class families but they were simple n had a very good nature with zero attitudes. All students came to college properly groomed n with Thier ID cards .

Hostel Facilities

5

I stay in Mumbai so I never attended hostel n have no clue about it According to me KC doesn't provide any PG facilities and hostels .IT might set up in coming years . Yes but it has facility for the security to stay in the college campus with a proper n safety measures n college gives them food n other fringe benefits

Alumni/Alumna

The senior students helped me during form filling and other extracurricular activities. they were very polite n kind n were not seniors but it felt they were just siblings.

Exam Structure

As it a college, not a place where you relax some days were gonna be tough but management made it easy for us.The exam structure was quite good as we had it divided into 2 parts internal and external exams which consisted of 20 n 80 marks respectively. The labs were well maintained n clean as being a commerce student I never visited a lab but have seen it . it was very well maintained with proper ameenites.Out of those 20 marks 5 marks were for attendance

Admission

I submitted offline admission forms n had then filled the form too I secured 80 percentage after my 12th n thus I got selected . The b.com was divided into two sections viz. Aided n unaided I was in unaided section . The notification was released right after the 12 results .first preference was for in house students but still I managed to make it .. Everything was very well managed. There was a proper recruitment procedures n there was no chaos ..

Faculty

5

I was In commerce stream so the faculty n subjects they were given were perfect ..accounts tax costing audit was taught by 4 CA professors . Theory subjects was taught by well-versed teachers who had an extremely deep knowledge about the subject. the faculty made sure that no student was bugged during the lecture and all studies was completed on the college

At TCSC placements are quite good as anyone. Even the SOBO colleges and Mithibai don't have placements as good as us. So this is why I always dreamt of studying here because since last 6-7 years, Thakur College placements have gone better and higher.

The good thing is that the college was not strict and was never forcing us to study rather it was seeing to it that it gave us proper advice and help us reach more towards my career goal. The bad part would be there were may staff which was very dull and was not kind, and no importance was given to correct their behaviour although it was evident by all.
