Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because i had an interest in computers and coding and wanted to excel in that field. Out faculty included approx 20-30 professors in one department and there were departments for each branch. There were approx 90 students in each section and there were about 8 sections under one department. The faculty appointed are highly qualified and have good knowlege of their subjects. The teaching methods are the traditional ones but the modern methods of explaining a phenomenon practically or through video or slides are also rapidly being adopted. The exams are held on time can had a tentative date varing 1 week before or after the told date but the final datesheet is given. There are two periodicals held along with 2 assignments in one semester and one end semester examination is held.
Internships Opportunities
We made group prjects in the sixths semester and the roles you get for internships and software engineer roles and also some consulting roles depending on the companies and you have to present a detailed report of the project you have done to the teacher group.
Placement Experience
From 6th semester you are eligible for a 2 month internship and then in the 8th sem you get to do a six month internship which can be provided by the college if u want otherwise you can also apply to companies on your own. a lot of companies come for placements on campus and conduct tests.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees is worth it according to the things we get. Jobs during recession is are a little dicy but sooner or later you get one. There are many scholarships you can avail, you have to submit documents proving your financial income and submit the documents to the main office and they would consider which scholarship you are eligible to.
Campus Life
Our college is known for sports and extra curriculars, there are a lot of clubs in which you can enrol, starting from sports, there were many more clubs including dance music and literature. There were also coding clubs for the tech people. There were two type of fests held, one was apaji which was an all college fest. and the secong being a fest of your particular department. apaji was held in november while department fest fests had their own schedule depending on which department you join. All kind of books you might need for your your course would be available in the respective libraries. there were libraries for your particular department in your department building and also a central library for everyone.
Hostel Facilities
There are hostels for each department, there are rooms to be shared between 3 people, depending on the hostel it can also be 2 and 4 but mostly it is 3 people sharing a room and it has 3 separate single beds with a dest to work on beside each bed. there are wall fans above each bed.the meal quality is fine, you get 4 meals each day, breakfast, lunch, dinner and a little snack in the evening. on tuesdays you get a special lunch and also a sweet dish to go with it.
Admission
We had an entrance exam and according to that about 180 students got the top branch computers and rest were alloted according to your rank. you were also required to fill a desiered list of branch they want. we had an online test which included physics maths and chemistry subjects and also aptitude.
