Life at IMI

If you want to do business in future or have interest in marketing or any other domain can surely take admission at IMI.Though there are many good colleges for PGDm but one of the important factor that influenced my decision to choose the course was the small strength of batch size of only 180 . The course is good but regular industrial visit could help students to understand better otherwise the course provided and faculties are very good here.

There are so many companies that comes internship both paid and unpaid. At IMI almost 70% of the batch got placed for internship before December which is very good news considering the current scenario. Good companies like dabur , haldiram , tata , Capgemini,JW marriot etc came for internship .There are a lot of other brand as well that came for internship. Roles offered were in all the domains like finance, marketing, operations and HR as well

100% placement is provided here but it is imp for everyone to maintain a cgpa of 4 or above . After 4 semester students become eligible for campus placement. A note. Of good companies come for final placement like EY,Dabur,Nestle, Infosys,Mahindra,ICICI,Bajaj,IDBI etc come . Hightesh package offered is 19.25 lakh and avg is approx 10lakh . All types of profile are offered marketing, operations, finance,sales, HR etc.

The course fee for two yr along with hostel is 1600000 for non AC and 1700000 for ac. Hostel is compulsory here. Every year hostel fee has a hike of 3%. Scholarship is provided on the basis of three criteria -1) one the basis merit if you have above 80 percentile in any entrance exam. 2)If your father is in defence 3) IF you fall into EWS category Additional 20% is provided to girls who fall into any of the above criteria Here at IMI we have students run shop so people looking for job opportunities to earn basic money can apply for this.

There are around 11 committee and 8-9 clubs at IMI . You can join any according to your choice. If you want to join any committee and clubs one has to go through a interview process. The annual festival are 'Phronesis' and JAZBA held here . We have Bloomberg for finance enthusiasts. A wide variety of books both for academic and non academic. Library is open till 12pm for students to do self study

Shared hostel room is here .We have been provided with separate cupboard,a desk and char and two small cabinet as well. Hostel is compulsory in this college . Two separate hostel for boys and girls . 24*7 hours security at hostel. Menu is quite vast and the quality of food is above average.though I find it little expensive.

The admission is taken on the basis of CAT/XAT /CMAT percentile above 70 and more than 60% in 10/12/graduation. If you fulfill the above criteria you can fill the application form .Once your application form will be accepted you will be given choice to book your slot for PI and WAT . Note - some students had WAT while some didn't. No reservations policy is given during admission

I had a virtual PI I didn't face GD but had WAT as well as PI . WAT topic was on the emerging AI chatgpt and how it will influence future . And then the process was followed by personal interview where I was asked about my gap years and questions based on my CV .There were questions bombarded related to current affairs. I basically prepared for these through articles and online coaching content.
