AOT: Decent college for placements

Choosing computer science helps significantly in the placement opportunities. Mostly IT companies visit the college in placement drive so it gives an advantage to the CSE and IT students. The course curriculum mainly focuses on fundamental subjects and core concepts but a lot of these are outdated and not practical so it would be great if popular technologies like web dev, app dev etc which are actually used in the industries be part of the curriculum.

Placements are fantastic in the college specially for the CSE students. Over 90% eligible students are placed each year through the college. The package provided are not that high , it goes up to 10 LPA and on an average 3.5 LPA is offered.Companies like TCS , IBS , KPIT , TRIANZ , PERSISTENT come to the campus for recruitment .There are also students who get more than 1 offer. Some students also opt for higher studies.

In comparision with other colleges , here the fees are significantly lower . There are also all the scholarships available for the eligible students. College provides compensation on the train ticket as well for students travelling by train.

Each year arcadia (cultural festival) is organized within the college campus which is quite large .There are also certain tournaments for Basketball,cricket is organized from time to time. There is also a library available for students. There are Student chapter like groups for organizing exciting events throughout the year.

I had to sit for the WBJEE to be eligible for admission here. After the results where I got a rank around 18k, I sat for the counselling process. After 1st round, I got selected for the CSE department but waited till the end of the 2nd round and finally froze the seat. Then I was contacted by the college itself and told to complete the admission process within the next 10 days virtually as it was the time of covid. After filling in personal details and submitting fees for 1st semester, I completed the admission process.
