Me , as a private hosteller(P.G.) in nearby locality(Ainavolu) , feel more independent and cost - effective than compared to college hostel facilities . I might be paying half of the amount college hosteller pays but gets served similar quality of food , accomodation , etc.

The admission process to get into VIT-AP is quite simple. You can get into VIT-AP through VITEEE, EAPCET and also based on students performance in recognized exams like JEE Mains , CBSE Boards percentage , State Boards percentage , etc. I got admitted in VIT-AP through EAPCET , after securing a rank of 1646 as a local. One can get admission through EAPCET if his/her rank in general is less than 6 to 7k. If you have a reservation , your cutoff is near 5k. This exam is conducted once an year after board exams.

For admission through EAPCET , you need to work with a strong knowledge of Maths , Physics and Chemistry . You will be given 160 questions and 180 minutes of time . Time Management triggers one's performance . After the admission , you will be instructed to attend to an English exam i.e. EPT(English Proficiency Test) , to test your language skills and you will be alloted English course based on your perfomance.
