Course Curriculum Overview

4

This college has a great academic record and a good faculty for teaching. The college campus is peaceful and fulfills most of the needs of the students. The faculty members as well as the seniors are helpful and the college culture is a bit of bad for 1st years as they will be facing strictness from the seniors but in the 2nd year they get friendly with the seniors. There are smart boards as well as green and white boards for teaching and the classroom is very spacious of capacity around 120 students to be seated comfortably. The exams are held within a fixed time period but in 1st year there is a problem with this time period like you might face your mid sems in 1st semester withing 2 months of start and end sems in 1 month but from 2nd year onwards it is a fixed time period. The faculty has a mixed way of checking the papers as well as the examination pattern is followed like the previous years. The checkers are strict in checking but sometimes liberal also.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

There are many companies like GOOGLE, APPLE , TATA, RELIANCE etc that provide internship opportunities to the students. They provide the internship certificates to them as an additional information in their CV during the job interview.

Placement Experience

3.5

The placement record of the college is quite well. Most of the students get placed during the in-campus placement drive and some students go for the off campus placement as well. Around 70% of the students get placed in campus. The highest package offered in 2022-23 drive was 42lpa and the average package is 18lpa. Prominent companies like Reliance, TATA , etc come for recruitment process and many start-ups also recruit students.

Fees and Financial Aid

My course fee is approx 3 lakhs because I have secured the seat in self sustainable category where an extra amount of approx 40000 is to be paid every year. Normally its 50k per year including the hostel fees of 30k per year. There was various scholarships available for the students to avail financial aid.

Campus Life

4

There are various clubs and societies here which organise their fests and they give opportunities to students to join their club. The annual fest SAMAVESH X VASAUNT is organised in the month of March every year. Different branches organise different fests like the annual fest for the COMPUTER SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING BRANCH is SRUJAN . Various clubs like ENIGMA(CODING), LITSOC( LITERARY SOCIETY), IIC(IDEA AND INNOVATION CELL), YOGA CLUB, NSS, NCC, AMERICAN SOCIETY OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERS, VEER RACERS and IEEE etc. Annual sports ILLUMINA is organised every year in the month of January. A student and alumini run society is there in our college called SANSKAR KENDRA, which teaches the underprivileged students of the nearby villages and help them get the education free of cost. There is a central library in our college with various collection of books of different genres.

Hostel Facilities

1.5

There are 3 beds, 3 tables, and 3 chairs provided in the room with 2 almirahs carved inside the wall and a wide window. The mess food quality is below average and unhealthy as well. The menu focuses on both veg and non veg meals. We are served breakfast, lunch, evening snacks and dinner. There are 2 common washrooms in all the floors that includes 3 indian style toilets and 3 bathrooms.

Admission

To take the admission, I gave the JEE mains exam and then registered in the OJEE counseling as I am resident of Odisha. Then during the counselling process I filled my choices of colleges and the branches and waited for the 1st round. There were 3 rounds of counselling and the seat locking options were the same as of Jossa councelling . Then after locking the seat, an allotment letter and the receipt of the payment was issued of which I took a printout and the reporting dates were provided after the completion of 3 rounds. I reported to the college and completed my registration process. There was an option for the internal sliding where there was a chance that your branch may get updated as per your filled choices. There was a list of documents provided to me to be carried at the time of registration. After all the process pf registration we were given our hostel reporting dates and then our classes started.

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Students are eligible for placement from their 3rd year onwards. It has been only 2-3 months but I have seen several companies arriving at the college, prominent ones being Flipkar,Deloitte, Xerox, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, Dell and several others including startups. There is no accurate data on how many offers have been made this year, but there are rumours that more than 95% of the eligible students have got placements. After getting a degree my plans are if I dont land into a satisfying job then I will start my preparation of the military or start a new business.
