The college was a great place.no particular bad remark as such.it is a nice place to spend the 4 years of life, and learn a lot of new things apart from the academics..so if someone is reading dis, explore the beauty of npti urself, and enjoy..all da best!

WBJEE My rank was 4273 (general) I chose this college, because its one of the few colleges in India, which pursues power engineering..Power Industry is booming, so in hope of good career options, i chose this college
Course Curriculum Overview
The course focuses on mechanical and electrical domains both, and primarily focuses on power engineering from the 6th semester of b.tech. on a scale of 10, I would rate the course at 6 on 10. However, modification s may be done in future to improve the course curriculum.
Internships Opportunities
Yes, but that s very few . internships were offered earlier,but now they are rare. Only top 5-6 students attain paid internship in companies like thermax,tata power,vedanta or they have to arrange on their own.

Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is around 40,000 per semester plus hostel and mess feees summing to around 51,000 per semester This can be rounded to 1 lkh per year And overall course fee is around 4-4.3 lakhs. Depending on the status of placement,a student is charged placement fee separately
Fees and Financial Aid
The college does over a scholarship for economically poor students, and the scholarship depends on half or full free depending on the academics of the student and da average income of a family in a year.

The alumni network is quite strong..students from past years and juniors share a great rapport, because of the strong alumni network, the college holds a good name across various engineering firms owing to the value of the brand,formed by the alumni
Exam Structure
Exam structure consists of theory and practical exams for each semester,conducted by WBUT (NOW KNOWN AS MAKAUT), the semesters are generally two , every year. Weightage to attendance, assignments submission, clas performance, extracurriculars are considered for assessing a students performance in each semester.. apart from this, each semester also has two mandatory mid-semester exams.
Admission
I appeared WBJEE in 2014. i scored a merit rank of 4273, then i applied for counselling through the wbjee counselling process,and chose this college. Based on my rank, i got this collge in 3rd round of counselling..and then i was guided by wbjee,how to complete the admission process
Faculty
The faculties were not so good, barring a few,who were very knowledgeable and helpful to studnts. some of the faculties are Mr.anupam dey (electrical), dr.satarupa satpathy (chemistry), mr.panchanan Chatterjee (late) were some of the brilliant noteworthy teachers..other were just average or below average. I was not quite satisfied with the quality of faculty's.on a scale of 10, i would like to rate 5.
