Remarks

The placements are good but the fests and campus life is not very lot. Also the curriculum is such that you will get plenty of free time to try out different fields which interests you, and to brush up you skills or to prepare for other exams like GATE.

Entrance Preview

I took IIT JEE mains and scored 218/360. At this score I could get CS in DTU, IIIT delhi and various NITs but still I chose NSIT as it's placements are better than those and you get a lot of time for research and preparation for other exams like GATE, CAT, etc.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum followed is CBCS i.e choice based credit Scheme. The course doesn't includes any kind of research work in it but since the system is not very hectic, you get plenty of time for research. The electives offered are theatre, music, dance, soft skills, financial literacy, corporate social responsibility, business and communication skills, environmental studies etc.

Internships Opportunities

Yes NSIT provides internships. There is an internship round at the end of 3rd year in which various companies including bigwigs like Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Deloitte, etc come to hire interns. The average stipend offered is about Rs 30000/- per month. The experience is quite fruitful and you get to learn a lot of new things like working in pressure, limited time, and also new technical skills. If you work sincerely, the internship may lead to a full time job offer.

College Events

4

The fests are non-existent. Organizing team organises is just as a purpose to show it in their resume. Out of 5 scheduled fests, only 1-2 gets organised on the campus. One is the fresher's party and other is the cultural fest called MOKSHA. Both of them are below average and not so big. So I would suggest to enjoy at other colleges' fests like DTU's engifest and IIIT Delhi fest.

Fees and Financial Aid

The scholarship is present for top 5% student of each batch. Also there's a scholarship for the J&K students. The college itself doesn't provide any education loan but accepts fee payments via loans provided by various Banks.

Campus Life

3

Campus has Wi-Fi facility, and now hostels too have. Inside campus, there is a clinic, a central shop for daily needs, stationary and many canteens. The campus has huge ground, and lawns too. Campus has gym and Student Activity Center too. The library is fully AC. The labs are average. The hostel is quite good, and mess is too nice. In hostel, TT table, badminton courts are there, and TV room too. The campus is in area of 154 acres but most of the area is covered with forests.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

In first year boys hostel there are a few double seater rooms while rest are single only. From second year onwards there are only singleseater rooms in boys hostel. Boys hostel doesn't contain AC whereas in girls hostel there are both the options available i.e AC and non AC. WiFi facility is available in all hostel. The hostel seats are limited and are first allotted to those whose home is very far. The average rent for PG is Rs 8000/- per month.

Alumni/Alumna

The Seniors are very friendly and helpful. You can approach them whenever you need any kind of help or advice. The societies in NSIT frequently keep on conducting placements talks by alumni which is very helpful and mind opening.

Exam Structure

There's no pressure for the exams as the syllabus to cover is not very much. Each semester there are two main exams i.e mid sem and end sem and two internals before each of them which comprise either class tests or assignments. There is 1 practical examination held during end sem. So over all it's chilled out.

Admission

After the JEE Advance result, visit the jacdelhi.nic.in website and fill the registration form which comes during mid June. Then fill your preference order for various colleges in Delhi like NSIT, DTU,IIIT Delhi, IGDTU and branch which you wish to opt. After few days they declare which College and Branch you are getting with your rank and call you for documents verification. Before that you have to pay the registration fees of about 14000/- You should take all the documents mentioned in their e- brochure. In case you fail to present any documents or your fee receipt isn't generated then you will have to take many rounds to get it sorted which is frustrating but at last it gets done.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

Course Curriculum Overview:

When it comes to curriculum everything us fine accept 1st year curriculum. My branch is ece in 1st year i have to study chemistry and physics which is no use for anybody in future it is just waste of time pretty outdated. For 2,3 and 4th year curriculum is far better than what it is in 1st year. Odd semester starts form August and after 2 month we have to give midsem exam.1 month after midsem we have to give endsem. There is very short time period between midsem and endsem examinations.Even semester starts form January everything is same as that of odd semester.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good in DTU. Usually a student is eligible to sit in placements from 4th year. Last year 325+ companies visited the campus like google, abode, Amazon, Microsoft, zomato, samsung, maruti suzuki, etc. They all have made 2050+ offers. The highest domestic package was offered by Atlanssian of 82.05LPA. The overall average package was 16.71LPA. The average package of my branch (Production and Industrial Engineering) was 12.34LPA. And in tech branches like CSE, IT it was around 24-25 LPA. Almost everyone is allowed to sit for placements. In PIE branch around 60-65% of student got placed in on campus.
