Remarks

College is well focused on the growth of students. Management is supportive.

Entrance Preview

I didn't opt for any entrance exam and I took a direct admission. It was on the base of merit list. Nagindas Khandwala College is an autonomous college and this is what makes me feel happy about this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Nagindas Khandwala College is an autonomous college. Here the portion of the curriculum is different from all other colleges. Teacher gives the syllabus and the whole curriculum notes with proper references to the students. Students can create their own notes for a presentation of their own topic.

Internships Opportunities

The college has a career development cell which looks after the placement and internships. If makes sure that every student is fit to give an interview and if not, they train students as well. Companies like Sony Music, Vebbler, Internships, Career Santa, Big Bazaar, IIMUN, hire interns on a yearly base. Stipend ranges from 5k to 15k based on internships

Placement Experience

4.5

Career development cell provides placements to all the students in the third year. Companies like L&T, Motilal Ideal, HDFC, Capegemini, Quantphy, Infosys, Asian Paints, etc hire students for placements every year. Most of the students who gets selected are from CA and IT background.

College Events

5

We have almost 20 -21 college festivals Celebrated in the college. Every department of the college have their own festival. The mass media department have montage and converge, the management studies department have Koran and mirage, the placement cell has Udaan, the photography club has photocells and so on.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees is totally feasible. This college has the lowest fees being an autonomous college all over Mumbai. My fees for bmm is around 19300Rs. Rest of colleges have a huge free structure starting from a minimum of 30k. Also college provides less fees for reserved category and minorities.

Fees and Financial Aid

College offers free ship for all the students with an cutoff of percentage. As government offers free ship. College also offers less fees to reserved categories and minorities.

Campus Life

2

The college is all rounder with students participating in various co- curricular activities. Girls ratio is more then the boys. Mostly it's a Gujarati minority college so many students are Gujarati. We see many students coming from various states of India as well.

Hostel Facilities

2

We don't have a hostel in the college. Though we have college canteen. The food in the college canteen is average. We normally prefer to have food from outside of the college. We have good places outside the college to have out a meal. The quality of food outside is good as compared to college canteen.

Alumni/Alumna

College has their own alumni association. Alumni keeps on coming on various occasions to the college.

Exam Structure

As we are an autonomous college, our exams are scheduled quiet early then the normal university of Mumbai exams. Our papers are much better then the university papers as well. It is very chilled out atmosphere here with a 0% pressure rate in the college.

Admission

The admission process starts as soon as the university of Mumbai declares the dates. You can take admission through university as well as offline admissions by approaching the college office. The only criteria to get the admission in various sources is the cut off.your percentage should be more than the cut off.

Faculty

5

The college faculty are easily available in the staff room. They are open to all sort of questions and queries as well. Most of the teachers in the college are professors. Every faculty has an amazing ability to reach the students with creativity and out of the box experience.

I will rate 6 out of 10 because the syllabus it has old information. The special aspect of the curriculum is about branding, strategy use to make strong brand in the market. The area for improvement in these curriculum is to provide student the proper software for technical or practical subjects. (like photoshop, indesign, etc.)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I want to be in the film industry. I want to become an actor. This course helps us to get aware of all the media industries. Be it films or television or even radio. Now, there are even more fields such as Public Relations and Event Management. There is an almost equal number of girls and boys. The faculty have industry experience and are well-spoken. They help us in each and every way possible. The use of presentations and modules is common. The learning process is fun and easy. The examinations are conducted in a semester pattern. There are a total of 6 semesters that are conducted on time. The syllabus covers a wide range of topics such as communication, films, photography, etc.

Form third year students become eligible for campus placement. Many reputed companies like times of India hindustan times visited our college and got various students selected based on their caliber. The average package here is a around 5-10 Lakh per annum. Only those students who are talented enough for any post get selected for particular job. I'm planning to do a internship in popular media House.
