The admission here is purely on the basis of Jee Mains.I took admission in the year 2016.My score was 210/360.Campus placements is great here and situated in 7th most cleanest city of India ,jamshedpur offers a very refreshing air in anyone's life.I had to choose between Bit Mesra and Nit Jamshedpur .And i chose Nit because of that government tag and its worthwile.

Course curriculum is good and easy here.But if you are looking forward in research field you have very less opportunity here.College lacks in no of students pursuing research.But now changes are being done.New Director has made emphasis towards this field by giving scholarship and all sorts of financial help to students interested in reasearch.

Internship are provided by college .In college web teams work for a period of two months at a stipend of 20000.Apart from this It giants like amazon,microsoft where the major attractions .Major recruiters for interns in Computer Science was UHG taking 8 students.Apart from that in core branches tata motors and tata steel where the biggest entertainers providing a developing atmosphere to students of our institute.

Placement scene is awesome here ragging start from the academic year to companies arriving the institute every year. Major recruiters and their package are:- Amazon -27 lakhs(10 students) Microsoft-24 lakhs(2 students) Ola-- 12 lakhs(5 students) Oyo--12 lakhs(5students) Tata steel--14lakhs(3students) Tata motors --12lakhs(2 students)

College has two mega fests.Ojass being the technical fest is the second largest fest in east india region after iit guwahati.Apart from this Culfest is the cultural fest of our institute.Participation is great in both fests and participation in them is increasing year after year.

Fee structure is a little bit expensive as we Indians have a thinking that every government thing is quite cheap.But its okay if we look from the other side providing immense opportunities and platform for showcasing our talents. Scholarship is offered to every branch toppers by Ongc , tata motors etc.Loans are available to students.

Gender ratio is very poor in Btech.Most probably 10 boys on 1 girl or even worse than that .But atmosphere is quite good here.There is no issue or any sought of discrimination based on culture ,race,religion etc.You can see diversity here as students from all part of nation comes here.Talking about politics it does not exists in Nit jamshedpur.

Alumnis are very helpful here .They always come forward be it academic ,financial or any help.We have an Alumni team here yo maintain the good connection between institue and the alumnis.

Everything is chilled here .Labs and exams are regular and attendance is compulsory but you get enough gaps and preparation time for everything .As said earlier academics is very easy here and most students utilize this time for preparing for other competitive exams like cat,gate or their respective placements.

Admission was a thorough process conducted online through a CBSE platform Josaa.We had to fill the form available online giving the preferences of college we are interested in .First round was seat allocation round.Candidates had to pay fees and atleast reserve the seats allocated in this round.They could further proceed using option float or could terminate the overall process through freeze options.

Faculties are good here and as per the new government rule they have atleast their PHD degree to be elligible to teach .No of faculties have also increased this year.We have adhoc faculties ,following assistant professor,proffessor ,hod and respective departments of each department.Standards as mentioned earlier is very good most of them have a vast experience of over 20 years of teaching.
