Course Curriculum Overview
The course according to me is 5/10 because of lack of practical experience as far as my opinion is concerned the students are overburdened with exams , assignments and practicals . Somehow the main focus has shifted to meeting deadlines rather than actual learning .
Placement Experience
The college brings companies for hiring , however due to recession the placement has suffered . However the college manages pretty good placements . This year approximately 50 percent of the people were placed .
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees structure is we need to pay 6L in 8 semesters ( excluding hostel fees ) . Scholarships are not given by college however students of west bengal can get scholarship approved by college (swami vivekananda scholarship) .
Campus Life
Our college has no campus. Literally not even a park or seating space where you can relax. So do not expect any great and fancy campus . No fests are held in our college because we lack funds . The clubs are made in 1st year .
Hostel Facilities
The college has nothing to do with the hostel they just recommend a hostel . The hostel facility is not that great . However there are no such hard and fast time restrictions . The food like every other hostel is bad .
Admission
I got admission into B.P Poddar Institute of Management and Technology in Computer Science department by qualifying WBJEE . This exam is consists of three subjects -Physics, Chemistry and Maths. Physics and Chemistry is of 50marks whereas Maths is of 100 marks . After the results were out I went through the WBJEE counselling after which I was allocated the college.
