The facilities of every department are very good.
The facilities provided are also very nice.
All the teachers are always available to clear our doubts.

Dislikes

The college campus is a little small in area.
Canteen food is also not st a top notch level.
Rest everything is fine in the college...

Course Curriculum Overview

Well the course which i sm studying is very nice andhard also. As everyone kniws engineering is not easy. The trachers are too good, they just make the subject more interesting. The curriculum of the course totally prepares us for the real world.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is very good and affordable compared to other private colleges. There are also many different types of scholarships available. For example SWAMI VIVEKANANDA SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME, PRAGATI SCHOLARSHIP, NATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP PORTAL, etc.

Campus Life

There's a anual tech fest which happens every year in our college. Usually the 3rd year students of every department organises the fest. The fest is very popular in Kolkata named TECHSTORM. Many different types of competitions are organised in this tech fest. Different college students come to our college premises to attend and participate in the tech fest. A Library for all the students are also provided. The facilities ate also too good. For sports, Football, Cricket and Throwball tournaments are conducted every year. And also a sports week. There sre many student chapters, clubs, activities available in the college.

Admission

I took an exam called WBJEE and got into this college. There's a rank system in this. Full Details of the admission can be found in google. There is a reservation benefit also. Also for thise who have a less income family background can opt for TFW. It's very beneficial.

Placement Experience:

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

My POV

I appeared for an entrance exam and I got a seat for CSE (data science) course at Techno International New Town. But I filled upgradation form and went for round 2. And I got a seat for Information Technology course at B. P. Poddar Institute of Management and Technology. So I took admission in this college rather than taking risks of going to round 3. At our college students can get admission by giving entrance exams like JEE Mains and WBJEE. Cutoffs for different courses vary every year.
