Remarks

The college imparts education at par with major league colleges, it lags behind in providing us with the same packages or stipend. The faculty is ever friendly and supportive of any productive activity. The college also provides a Spiritual guidance class by "Vedanta" because they wish that their students be morally responsible citizens wherever they work.

Entrance Preview

I appeared for my MAH MBA/MMS CET in 2017 and scored 95.04 percentile. I instantly knew that XIMR would be my college as I'm a minority candidate. Chose Finance over Marketing and HR because you'd better learn something new if you're paying a ton of money. There are no GI/PI rounds if you get in through the CAP admissions, ILS candidates, however, have to go through a PI round.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The college is affiliated to Mumbai University, so that resolves any issue with the course syllabus. However, the college can alter the course structure suiting its need, it will teach you all that the university has outlined in the semester they wish to teach you. The first year has no electives, although the university website might tell you there are. All colleges practice in such manner, though this does not dilute your course in any way as the opted out subjects are covered in elsewhere in the course.

Internships Opportunities

The college is somewhat duty-bound to give everyone an internship, else they can't pass you to the second year. Companies like HDFC, Abbott Healthcare, Amrita, Axis, Ways2Society are a regular. The stipend varies between 6,000-35,000. But don't be surprised if you're in a zero stipend internship, it's the learning that counts.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placement packages average between 6-8 LPA, a few rare one's bags in the 9-10 LPA range. Companies offer varied roles such as Financial Sales, credit risk, equity research, M&A's, financial market research for finance. Market research, sales, branding, client servicing are the roles in marketing. Recruitment, policy making, client servicing are the roles in for HR.

Fee Structure And Facilities

College fees was a little over 5 Lakhs for the current batch. I'm no Raghuram Rajan, but inflation is a real thing and college fees will rise year on year. There are scholarships available for minority students of 25,000 and 35,000. You can avail them by applying on the Ministry for Minority Affairs website.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are scholarships available for minority students of 25,000 and 35,000. You can avail them by applying to the Ministry for Minority Affairs website.

Hostel Facilities

4

There are no hostel facilities available in college. You can however find hostels and PG's dotted within 5 Kms around the college. Rent can burn a hole in your pocket if you choose to go PG but you enjoy the freedom of sightseeing the city or getting your friends along for group studies(never works). A hostel is a very pocket-friendly option with canteen and laundry facilities available, minus the freedom part. Xavier's canteen is well known for its varieties and reasonable rates, so food in college hours are covered. Hostel fees are 7-12 thousand/month including breakfast and dinner. PG is 18-30 thousand/month plus the electricity and maintenance costs.

Exam Structure

Keep up the pace with the studies and the projector case activities in class, they might quickly pile up and cause you sleepless nights and hair loss. The college is pretty chilled out if you do your work on time. Exam time is a mix of stressful subjects that require serious discussions on the class WhatsApp group, to some that people share memes on; on the same WhatsApp group. Either way, the class is lit exam and submission season.

Admission

Once you get the college allocated through CAP, go to the college front desk with all the necessary documents and the confirmation form. Keep a couple of thousand with you to pay for the admission form. The staff is very helpful, ask them if you're stuck somewhere in the form filling. If you're an ILS guy, call the front desk and ask for the form filling dates, pay for the forms, fill and submit them. Ask the staff when they would release the list of screened-in candidates, be ready for a PI round if you're in the list; then wait for a list of on-hold and confirmed candidates. The on-hold candidates get their seats confirmed if somebody decides to withdraw their admission. ILS is a good way to find out how socially successful your parents or relatives are, so be nice to them if you've scored less.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty is exceptional in teaching standards, we have full time faculty that pay weekly visits to JBIMS, Sydenham, KJS XLRI, XIMB and Welingkar, so that pretty much resolves all doubts. The core faculty for Finance are also part-time consultants for F&O trading and have a work experience in leading firms like Morgan Stanley, Shipping Corporation of India. The core Marketing faculty has been awarded the best faculty for Marketing by the Mumbai University. He too has a work experience in the petrochemical sector. The HR faculty have the distinction of working in reputed business houses like L&T, Godrej & Natraj as regional HR's. Visiting faculty are no different in terms of work experience or qualification or the sheer fear they instil in class.

Placement Experience:

During my time the first company that visited our organization was Naukri.com, and feel proud to say that i got placed in the same organization. I am very happy with my placement. But talking about my peers. Number of companies who visited to our institute was compared to low as per our expectations. Majority of the companies who visited the institute were sales based organizations. Very less companies for finance and HR field. This made a difficult call for students.

Placement Experience:

The placement scenerio at our caollege can be described as average overall. Most recruiting company belong to the banking and supply chain sectors. Marketing students generally have better placement opportunities, while finance and HR students do get job, though the package are not very high. Buswiness analytics has limited scope as very few companies visit the campus for the roles in that domain.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I did choose this course as I am genuinely interested in management and if it is healthcare management that makes me excited. There is a different teaching faculty for each and every subject. The faculties are highly qualified market professionals and experts who teach in an extremely interactive and practical way. They are very supportive. There was one exam conducted per semester which included projects and written exams.

No such bad remarks though. As the college is very superior and one can take admission with complete ease as the college faculty, staff, workers are very helpful and there motive is very clear and remarkable. This college surely helps students in grooming and enhancing skill to the top.
