Course Curriculum Overview
The FFCS program which lead me to take the course in this college. The curriculum offers a practical experience which helps in pairing up with the real world. The only difference is the professors and their awarding of marks but as it is a relative grading program there is nothing to worry about. All the CAT And FAT exams carry the same weightage.
Internships Opportunities
JP Morgan fidelity are the top companies for providing internships in various job roles with a good amount of stipend. All the companies mainly focuses on the coding skills of the particular student and the resume or the CV of the student
Placement Experience
Students are eligible for the campus placements from the 2nd semester of 3rd year. The placement drive consisted of nearly 900 recruiters. Some of them are Amazon, Microsoft, DE Shaw and co, Morgan Stanley, Cisco. The highest package is 35 lpa and the average package ranges at 9 lpa. Nearly 98% students are getting placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is no hike in tution fee at present. As I joined the course through AP-EAPCET my tution fee is 70000.If the student joined through VITEEE exam the fee would range from 190000-500000 depending upon the category he/she secured in the exam. The compulsory charges are admission fees which is 10000-15000 . The college sports committee will allocate funds for players. Also the college raises funds for any researches.
Campus Life
The main events are the VTOPIA and the VTAPP which are held in the months of february and November respectively. The books in the library doesn't last to a wide range but contains almost all the books prefered by the professors. All the classrooms are Digitalized. Many of the classrooms are equipped with Air conditioner. The college conducts a sports event every year and often conducts sports activities. There are nearly 100 clubs which are active and there exists a small or big event almost every week. This improves the student's social life.
Hostel Facilities
Every hostel room is equipped with a study table , study fan, bed, and a well spaced cupboard with some good ventilation. The food in VIT-AP is the best in the whole state. Its wide range of menu gives the allowance of selectivity over varieties. There exists a student committee on the mess and decides the menu every month.Although the hostel is somewhat costly but worth it. The hostel can be booked through the college website after the seat allocation. There are numerous PG's in 6km away which provides transportation.
Admission
You can join the university through an exam conducted by the institution which is VITEEE in the month of April mostly. To the students of Andhra Pradesh, one can also join through AP-EAPCET with very less tution fee compared to VITEEE. You can find the registration link and information brochure at VTOP-VITAP website. Coming to the academics there will be two CAT exams and one FAT exam for a semester. The grading process follows relative grading which is a good thing to think of. The university follows FFCS program which gives the feasibility for the students to select their respective professor for their respective course for their respective slot. As it is a university ,there are events often conducted by several clubs. And there is no point of RAGGING and strict rules for the students which is a safer decision for parents to take. For availation of admission with a good scholarship the student should be so good in maths physics and chemistry and have a basic knowledge about aptitude
