An urforgetable unique journey

One bad remark about our college is in-time for girls in their hostel. Their in-time is about 9 o'clock and if someone got late by few minutes, they've to write applications,call their parents,etc. So, I think their in-time must be increased.

I applied for JEE(Joint Entrance Examination) MAINS. I scored 102 out of 360. I opted for this particular college because I always wanted the Computer Science branch and for this branch, there was no better college that I could get with my score. So I took my admission here.

On the focus of research, the course is not provided to us. Most of the subjects are based on our particular branch and some of them are based on other branches. So, overall I can say that if anyone has to focus on research then he/she has to study for themselves.

Yes, our college providesd internships. Companies which comes to our campus are Microsoft,Amazon,Goldman Sachs,Direct I and many more companies visit our campus. For each and every company, the first round is coding round. Approx 80% of students are able to clear this round and after that, they are called for Personal Interview round where more than 60% students got rejected and very few of them able to clear this. When they clear Interview round they are offered an internship. If anyone does extraordinary work during the internship, they are offered Pre-Placement(PPO). General stipend offered is about 250-500$.

There are two big events organized by our college per year is Pantheon and Bitotsav. In Pantheon, mainly technical events take place like coding competition, web development, gaming and many more which is open to all colleges. Guest lectures are also organized during this event which is the best part of this event. Second is Bitotsav which is the biggest festival of BIT Mesra. It includes many types of events including technical, cultural, etc. Events organized during this event include Drama Competition, Face-painting, Nukkad, Singing and dancing, gaming, roadies, etc and many more. This event takes place over four days. The best part of this event is NIGHT-SHOW. On every night DJ and many more function take place and on the last night is also known as PRO-NIGHT any Bollywood singer is invited to perform which is marvelous and fantastic during Bitotsav.

Fee structure is very much expensive here. For BE students, total expenditure for semester fee which include tuition fee,examination fee,hostel fee,electricity and transport,etc. is approx 9.8 Lakhs. 1st and 2nd semester: 103000. 3rd and 4th semester: 113500 5th and 6th semester: 124500 7th and 8th semester: 136500 Apart from the semester fee, we also have to pay Mess fee which is 20000 for boys and 15000 for girls per semester. Semester fee changes year by year by some amount.

Yes, the scholarship is offered to the students who got good semester marks. They are judged on the basis of their marks and GPA. Maximum GPA students got maximum scholarship on their tuition fees. Scholarships are distributed on the basis of marks categories and scholarships are also available there for scheduled castes and tribes.

Our campus is full of around 3500-4000 students. Out of which there are approx 70% boys and 30% girls. There are many types of extracurricular activities organised by college at regular intervals. Here both technical and cultural club are there for students. Most of the technical club workshops are conducted in labs which is quite good and fixed numbers of computer systems available for students. Every cultural clubs are one of the best here out of every colleges in India. From Dramatic society, every year our college performed in other college and got 1st/2nd position every time. There are two sports competitions organized by college one is Athletics Meet which include outdoor events like races, jumps, cycling, etc. and other is Vajra where both indoor and outdoor games are held like football, table tennis, chess, etc and students from other colleges also come here to participate. Robotics competitions are also organized every year here where a maximum number of students came to participate.

The best part or I can say one of the best thing I got in this college is our seniors. They are really helpful. They will always ready to help you whatever the problem it may be. They conduct regular workshops for us so that we'll not get any doubt regarding any subject if anything is missed by teachers in the class. The best part is that they will instruct us in our every moment what to do or not regarding everything like placement, internships, etc. Really here seniors are very helpful and hard-working.

Not at all. Exam Structure is very much hectic. The worst thing happened here is when there is one week left for our examination, in that following week our Lab exams, internal exams all take place at the same time which is very much hectic for us and we can't focus on each subject at that point of time. In mid semester exams, exams run continuosly day by day without any gap but, in end semester exam we got 1 day leave after every exam which is sufficient for us to focus on a particular subject.

At first there was an online form/doc provided by JOSAA which was based on Choice-filling for colleges. In choice-filling I fill the colleges name where I want to get admission keeping in mind of respective branch also. I filled approx 50 colleges name where at the top position I filled BIT Mesra, Computer Science branch. After few days of choice-filling, details were sent to our mail which branch we got according to choice-filing details and I was lucky that in the very first round I got whatever branch and college I wanted with respect to my score. After this,counselling process started for the fist round. Since,I am from Patna so I went to NIT PATNA for my counselling. In the very first round all of my documents like Cast Certificates, Blood reports, etc were verified and finally I was called to choose my college and I freeze my choice in the 1st round and after all processes of counselling I went to college and got my admission.

Some of the faculties are extraordinary, their teaching skills are awesome and they have a great command & knowledge on their particular subject. Here especially in Electronics department teachers don't be able to teach well, one of the reason may be that syllabus is too vast or they don't want to waste their energy. At an average 40% teachers are quite well and hard-working,30% are better than average and 30% below average.
