All you need to know about NITK, surathkal

The course plan is not the very upto date as you get in scaler school of technology or in the founder turned entrepreneurs college. But yes it is kind of okaish because being in IT in the first year we also need to learn subjects like chemistry and physics and even english. But i think it is the course structure of the upcoming years that actually compelled me to go with the course and jsut go for it. Being a love of tech itt was really nce to see the topics which we have in our curriculam. The course plan may make you 40 percentage ready for the industry but it is the interships and all that make you comfortable. Definitely the syllabus is something that these guys should ponder upon.Talking about exams oh my god if someone is telling you that college life is chill then feel free to ask him contact someone from our college because of water shortage here our semester has been reduced to a 3 months one and hell lot of exams are going on after more or less 20 or 25 days.

The internship opprtunities provided from the college side are good here also you also find many decent enough companies that come to the college to give you internship offers and also ready to offer you PPO'S.

The plcaements of our college is also something that make us proud. Our college is visited by most of the big comapnies you might have heard of from Google to microsoft to everything in the core our college weelcomes all the thing you should be concerned about with are skills and the rest is sorted. As per my knowledge the highest package for the last year was near to 54 lacs. The percentage of students getting placed varies from branch to branch but as much as i knoe in computer science, information technology and other circuital branches it more or less remains close to 100% and for the other branches it remains well above 75 to 80%.My current job is to land a job but lets see mind changes with time.

I actually donot know how much increment is there every year. The complete enginnering here would cost you around 8 lacs including everything, Yes talking about scholarships you do get some scholarships as much as i know ther is one NSP scholarship which is meant for the OBC and the SC-ST students which they get something 3000 per month and some additional benefits forr book purchasing and others and a one time amount for buying a laptop for all these you need to be in the top 100 in thee OBC and top 13 in SC students in your respective batches and yeah i forgot to tell that there is a fee remission system also based on your income.

We have a lot of things happening in and around the campus. But our main technical fest is the Engineer which usually is organised in the month of october and the cultural fest id held in the month of march and is called the Incident. Our campus have 2 libraries and one is getting constructed as per reports one is called as the central library whose timings are from 9am to 5pm and another one is the E-library which seems the like the most advanced of the libraries and timings for that is 9am to 1am in the morning and talking about the collection there are a lot of books available in the library. The calssroom are equipped with all the necessary facilities we have 2 lecture complexes among which the lecture hall complex -c is just a great piece of enginnering.And talking a clubs there are a lot and the ones which people are most interersted in basically the IEEE one but any of the clubs you go you definitely gain some indights about that particular domain and others.

The hostels are way good than expected the rooms are spacious. People do come on regular basis to clean rooms. Talking about the 1st year rooms they are 3 ocuupancy rooms and you have options for both veg and non veg here. Talking about the mess food it used to be good but now it has become a real mess. The best part about our college is about the centralized platform created by the enginneers of our college is a portal which allows you to do all these things with the click of a button from your smartphones.You can easily rent a PG or something in Mangalore or Surathkal .
