- There is a beach on the campus, it is a good place to relax.
- The campus is luss green, there are a lot of places to visit nearby.
- The night canteens in the campus,that also provide online delivery enen at 12 pm night.
Dislikes
- The weather is always Sunny or monsoon, one would die during summer without a fan
- There's no central AC in the lecture halls.
Course Curriculum Overview
The professors in our department (EEE) do lack the teaching experience but they don't take attendance much,course curriculum as expected is tuff you have a lot of electives to choose from . Most courses have 2 quizzes ,1 midsem and 1 endsem ,you are supposed to get 2 assignments from course instructor , which are enough to get passing mark (but you get DD grade for that).
Internships Opportunities
As mentioned above being reputed university , there are several internship opportunities in the campus . Companies provide internship after 5th semester ,some companies even offer PPO after internships the club seniors are always ready to help for our internship .
Placement Experience
As one of the reputed institutes of the country there are many oncampus placement opportunities . It is hard to not to get placed rather than getting placed .The CDC (career development centre ) ensures that you get placed , it also supports student startups.
Fees and Financial Aid
The tution fee in general is 60,000 . But you can get a waiver of your family income is less than 1 lakh, 2/3 waiver if income is less than 5 lakh . There are affordable charges on library , lab ,electricity ,mess and other necessities.
Campus Life
There are lot of events that happen in our college most dominant among them are 2 events first is the incident which occurs in even semester which is a cultural fest and the second is engineer a technical fest held in odd semester
Hostel Facilities
Old Hostels are bad in architecture but there is regular cleaning of rooms and toilet. There is continuos electricity and water in the hostels . Wifi speed is poor but sometimes it's good . As usual mess food is bad , one would get bored by the frequent mess timetable.
Admission
I got admission in my college through JEE MAINS entrance exam , held in 2022 . I got 98.65 percentile in the jee mains entrance exam. The cutoff of the jee mains for electrical General home quota is about 98.5 which corresponds to around 13,000 rank. After Qualifying the jee mains one should opt for jossa counseling or csab counseling held every year right after jee mains. Jee mains is held every year .
