Likes
- College culture , safe place for girls to roam around at night and have block timings upto 1:00 at night.
- Good connectivity to mangalore town near by to go shopping or to malls In weekends and so on. The beach is sooo pretty it’s perfect.
- The placement and how less stressful exams are in this college.
Dislikes
- No washing machine in hostels. So have to wash clothes every weekend
- 75% attendance policy it’s too rigid and even Heath issues arnt considered.
Course Curriculum Overview
As a person in my first year , there's not much I can tell about curriculum but with what I have heard and I see, curriculum is pretty good and enough to get placed in campus itslef. First year common subjects is a lil bit of a waste of time as we actually came from jee mains and mostly every one knows the basics. Stuff like chem should be removed for circutal branches.
Internships Opportunities
Most people get internship in this college based on their cgpa and branch. The internships are good. Few don't pay for it though But that's ok. I am not 100% sure about the tasks they do mostly based on the college I guess.
Placement Experience
From their 3rd year they can sit for placements or even get ppos, there's a lot of good companies that come for placements and more than 90% of students are placed every year. Companies like google PayPal Microsoft oracle Tata electronics Gail Samsung all of them show up with sooo many other smaller companies.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees structure is like about 1.5 lakhs for a year and varies towards the years. Towards the end of 4 years I won't spend more than 8lakhs for sure including mess and hostel which are each 30k per set, super cheap compared to private colleges. I am a person who doesn't come from low income house. But I do know scholorship is given for both ews and obc and such categories.
Campus Life
The campus is supposed to be320 acres but less than 100 acres is in access to college students Most of the place is there for forests and proffers quarters and so on. College is built well. There's a lot to walk to reach places but still not like we can't reach as well. Social life is good here. It's very peaceful for students to interact and not restricted by any form. There's a lot of clubs and they have a lot of fun together and interact, increasing social life in college style.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels arnt that good. It's clean but there's only Indian wash rooms in some of the hostels no elevator to climb lots of floors.mess food is subpar. I can't say uts sooo bad we can't eat there . It gets too repetitive after some point and couple of meals arnt that good. Compared to other colleges mess isn't that bad its clean atleast.
Admission
My admission process was a roller coaster. I wrote jee mains and got 98.8 percentile with a rank of 13824 in it. Still dint get eee until csab round. Once I did I accepted. Coming to college the whole paper work process was smooth only. I bought all the asked documents, it took the whole day to finish the whole thing and get my room but it was expected.
