Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum here in nitk is good , as it changes every year accordingly. First year has common subjects for everyone irrespective of branch because based on that we can get minors of other branch coming year. We also have one course from our parent department in the first year. Curriculum is convenient for students. for one semester we have 2 quizzes, one mid sem and one end semester exams
Internships Opportunities
Microsoft, oracle, Wipro , Uber and many more companies come here for internships and companies offers . There are projects and tasks for everyone in campus through which we can get internships and placements
Placement Experience
For 7th and 8th semester students usually get placement offers . Placement offers here in nitk is soo good. For core branches placements is comparatively less than non core branches but there are also good placements. Nearly all of them get placements.after getting into 4th year placement I will be working for the company.
Fees and Financial Aid
As we all know most of the nits have fee reimbursement for generally ews, OBC and sc/st students . For the students of ews and OBC whose family income is below 1 lakh there will be no college fees. And for students of ews and OBC whose family income is between 1 and 3 lakh there will be 2/3rd reimbursement in fees and for sc/st students there will be complete fee reimbursement. There are also other scholarships available for girl students also.
Campus Life
Btech life here in nitk is soo good. We have 2 big feasts that takes place every year . One is engineer technical fest which is held approximately in September and other is incident which is one of the biggest college fest across india held in nearly march . Here we also have many clubs where students can join into them based on their interests. There are many books available in library mostly all books are available. Classrooms here are so good with comfortable beaches. All sports facilities are available here. Here we have beach where students can relax..
Hostel Facilities
Facilities in rooms of hostels are good. For girls it is double occupancy and for boys it's triple occupancy. Each student will get a bed , a fan and cupboard. Mess food is good compared to other college messes. Quality is very good. Registration for hostels is easy here. Hostel is so affordable.
Admission
To enter into nits in it compulsory to write jee mains and get good score in that exam. Minimum of 90 percentile is required to get into nits if someone has reservation . After 2 sessions of mains jossa takes lead and takes up the admission process into nits. There will be 6 rounds in jossa where seat is alloted in each round. We have to submit the order of colleges and branches that we want and based on that our seat is alloted . In 6 rounds of jossa we can select the best seat that is being alloted to us. And finally we get a seat after fee payment. Then we get mail from the alloted college on which day physical reporting will be held and we have to go then .
